Every urge is to go downstairs and buy a Boost bar - I've always felt it's important to listen to your body's cravings but I really don't want to ruin the diet! So I'll stick with it.
Of course, it doesn't help that I'm completely fed up of this job as well! I've got nothing to do while I wait to leave, so I'm just sitting here messing about with Google or staring at my monitor daydreaming. Not the best way to distract oneself from food / feeling a bit pooey!
When do you start your new job? Yeah, when it's mental as well as physical, it's a double whammy of poopoo! You're doin great thus far tho, just try your best to distract yourself by wotever means......:D Gonna try your choc tofu mousse later, when bought tofu!
BUM......shouldn't have said that , soz!:o x0 -

I see on her blog it says I can have milk but it says not low fat choices so does this mean full cream milk only? Also can I assume I can eat ham and minced beef/lamb/turkey?
TIA
Yep, full fat options only. Same for cream cheese, cream etc :j I don't like cow milk but love goats milk. Don't drink much of it really but it's nice now and then.
All meats are ok but it's worth checking out the carb content of sausages etc as they can be quite high in some cases. Just go for the lowest.

Thanks Mercy. I'm a bit dubious of starting *another* diet. I'm already signed up to ww and it's not working, I do live on carbs and have just found out I have a slight wheat intolerance which I've been told is possibly because my body is in carb-overload
I did cut out a lot of carbs before and lost 8lb in 2 weeks but that was still eating potatoes and brown rice and got very bored very quickly and came off it in spectacular fashion  . So I've not cut carbs out totally before and I'm interested to see what kind of a difference it makes.

Hi guys, just came across this thread and as i have done Atkins couple of times gonna give this a go, just wonderig tho what kind of things do you use for a packed lunch? need some ideas for work as its usually a sandwich. I always got fed up of same old things on Atkins. Bread is my craving but its chocolate when on Atkins.
So any useful tips for nice lunchy recipes..0 -
Hooray, my favourite subject - packed lunches!
Sandwiches made with spinach/flax bread (basically spinach/ground flax mixed with egg and baking soda, then baked for 15 mins) - fill with meat/fish/cream cheese etc
Wraps made with thin "pancake" (egg, milk, optional ground flax) - fill with anything chunkier
Romaine lettuce leaves utilised as a "wrap" with fillings.
Salads - caesar salad with almonds instead of croutons (or omit them entirely for Atkins induction). Or Greek salad with olives and feta. Or pretty much any other salad you can think of.
Stuffed vine leaves - stuffed with mincemeat (or soya mince) instead of rice
Boiled eggs, egg mayonnaise or devillied eggs
Sausages
