Hi guys. *waves*
Haven't been here much over the last 2 (or 3 days) as I've been having a hard time and didn't wanna be sociable. :rotfl:
This is the worst week I've had so far (TOTM) and I've been sooooo close to eating high carb stuff that I'm literally having to take it minute by minute, never mind day by day.
No idea why it's so bad this month in particular.
As it is I'm binging on Atkins bars, Tesco peanuts, diet coke and sugar free jelly.I had 5 bars yesterday. (I know! I know!) I dont want food, I just want bad things.
I weighed myself this morning (not usual weigh day) as I fully expected to have put on but I'm still the same so someone must be looking after me.
I hope this passes soon otherwise I may be tempted to get the fuse wire out the shed and wire my teeth together.
I'll read back once youngest goes to school but till then, hope everyone else is getting there. Have a good day all.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I know how you feel, aliasojo. Last night I had granary toast again - and a banana!
Not sure which is worse, the 'clean' carbs I'm stuffing my face with, or all your naughties. Whatever, we both need to give ourselves a stiff lecture.0 -
i find some months worse than others for craving things BUT the more u give yr body these sweet things the more its going to want them . i know its hard but u have to fight it or u will never get over the hill and away from the need for sweet stuff thats another reason atkins doesnt allow sweeteners etc in induction
along with that what the hell yr tum is going to do to u later with all them bars i shudder to think!!!

Hello fellow low carbers! Really makes me laugh sometimes how I feel like part of an underground movement! I have started reading Gary Taubes book... not the easiest of reads for me but I will get through it.
I am already shocked at the amount of misinformation and bloodymindedness of the so called scientists! NIGHTMARE.
Anyway... I am stalling but know I will win through. I "treated" myself to some rather expensive "low carb" foods from the low carb megastore. Sero bars are not worth the lack of weight loss (which is what I put it down to). I will save my "treats" for times when I just can't fight the urges that are habitual rather than needs.
In my last message I asked for advice re where to purchase good coconut oil and I haven't had a reply (unless I missed it). Please could someone (Ted the coconut oil guru?) anyone answer me?
Hugs to you all and today I have decided to revolutionise the world and ban bread (other than flax bread which is turning out to be VERY good for my digestion if you get my drift)!Tee hee

Good morning all :hello: Hello newbies
Feeling a bit groggy this morning, had 4 glasses of wine last night as I was miserable & fed up after trying on my 'party outfit'* & finding out I look a total messI'm going to have to go shopping again this morning to see if I can find something else. I HATE buying clothes at the best of times so not looking forward to it. Plus, I'm travelling this afternoon so hardly any time cos getting my hair done too. I'm not a happy bunny!! Can you tell?!
Anyway, I won't be posting for a couple of days as I'm away & goodness knows what my menus are going to be like?! Aaaaaggghhhh!!
*I look like I'm going to an interview/funeral0 -
oooh i like being scary sometimes!!!
nice posts both angel and jim u are being very honest and sounds like u both really want to do this and therefore u will.... i never set myself a goal i always said oh well will be nice to lose another stone and then when i did i said oh well maybe another one then, i found it easier to handle in bite size pieces rather than say i needed to lose 8 stone!!! eeek was that me
i used to have a card that u could print out that included all the induction list foods on it if anyone wants it let me know i will oik it out and email it
think everyone else covered everything else
oh and thanks HC i am glad if i inspire someone along the way
x

Enjoyed the Tom Naughton interview on the Jimmy Moore show too. He's a sound guy and his food log showed that he ate quite a bit and still lost. Respect!
Just waiting on this darn parcel to be delivered then can get out in the fresh air (even tho it's half term and town will be manic!) :rotfl:0 -
Oh guys, sorry to post again but I'm so miserable! I really really really want to go home and stay there... I actually did sneak out of work a couple of hours earlier yesterday and got away with it, but no such option today!
