Hi all,
Still doing my "thing" but been too busy to post recently. Also it went a bit to pot yesterday as me and boyfriend went down to Leicester for the day. We do "curry trails" now and again and like to go to different parts of the country, I think Birmingham is next on the list. Had some lush authentic food though.
Ethansmum- I get my protein powder from https://www.myprotein.co.uk. It's cheaper than in the shops and I eat it everyday, either as a shake or i mix it with flax and soya milk(you can use water for less carbs), bung it in mic for 1min 30 secs and there's a yummy porridge thingy. It's a great site cos there's loadsa customer reviews about all of the products, which is helpful.
Sazbo- Hope your Gilly had a gr8 b'day! Where did you go?
Just off to do the shop, moussaka tonight, not tried it yet.
Take it easy everyone............:j0 -

chickbabes, Go Lower costs £46.50 a week! Why would you pay that when you can low-carb eating normal food?
Unless (and my profuse apologies if I'm wrong) you are somehow affiliated with them...?
Hey, I just don't have the will power/I'm too lazy to do it by myself and they do it all for me. Its teaching me about portions and whats ok to eat and whats not. I'll do it by myself once I have finished the programme, feeling a lot more confident that I can now. I;ve picked up loads of tips fromgo lower and from joining low carb forums like this one. Xx0 -

I use Impact Whey Protein powder. It's 1.8g carbs/30g scoop. The vanilla is good in cooking e.g porridge, pancakes and I like the strawberry for shakes but they do allsorts. It's suger-free and is £12.49 for a 1kg bag. To keep costs down, the bag has minimal info on it, for instance, you need to check out the indredients on the site. It's great as it provides 24g protein/scoop, which is better than most in the shops, especially for the price (most are 16-18g protein) which makes it terrific value. I make shakes in the blender so no lumps!:D0

Hi pilly hun, hi lovelies and welcome newbies! :hello:
We had a lovely time thanks pilly x We were staying in Camber Sands in East Sussex which I organised as a surprise for his birthday:) Neither of us had been to that area before and it surprised me just how lovely it was, and not in a conventional way - lots of marshland and dunes - quite unusual and beguiling if y'know what I mean. Would love to go again. I'll post some pictures on facebook when I can get my act together lol.
Not been too well-behaved on the diet front, or indeed on other fronts!;):D but back on track next week.
Anyway we're not long back and a bit cream crackered, so I'll sign off now and report back tomorrow when i'm back at the dreaded *ork:rolleyes:
Much love to all and have a fab sunday evening

Sazbo, that sounds lovely, glad u & gilly had a fab time.
Shykins - the antipasti was _pale_ !! Knew I didn't like parma ham but was prepared to give it another try but it's just horrible!! Didn't like any of it!! Tried to disguise it with lots of coleslaw but urgh!! It's like eating raw bacon!! Feel sick just thinking about it!!
Enjoyed my chicken & cheesy leeks for dinner though - much better!!0
