Oh yay!
I cooked!
Get me!I actually made something. :rotfl: AND...I'm going to tell you all about it.:rotfl:I had a chicken/cauli/cheese........thing!Breast of chicken was done in tinfoil in the oven.Cauliflower was boiled for a few mins then put in a ricer till it was pretty dry and 'bitsy' (technical cooking term there) and then put back in the pan with some extra thick double cream and some grated cheese. I then chopped up the cooked (by this time) chicken and added it to the pan.
I then put it into an individual white ceramic oval dish thing and put more grated cheese over the top and stuck it under the grill till it went all golden.Sat it on a plate with a little side salad and lo and behold....you could have called me Gordon!
I have no idea how many carbs were in it but I know it wasn't high as there was only a little cheese used and not loads of cauli either.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Glad you had a fab time, Sazzy and Gilly.
For me, protein powder comes under the heading of 'weird things'. However, Rose Elliot uses it in quite a lot of her recipes so maybe I'll buy some. Don't fancy it in shakes, but as a cooking ingredient - perhaps.
Yes, Daisy, I've used mascarpone in savoury dishes - wherever you might use cream cheese. If you've never bought any, however, I would advise that you don't. Any leftovers in the fridge, and you'll be in there with a spoon (if you're anything like me).:D:D
Oh dear, weigh day for me tomorrow.I have a feeling the Indian and all the wine will have caught up with me by then.
Today:
B: none
L: sausages, mushrooms, fried eggaubergine parmigiana, salad, mayo
chickbabes, what do you actually get for your £200 a month? Do they actually supply all your food? Hope so, for that amount! :eek:0 -
aliasojo, that sounds yummy! :j:j:j0

Daisy- Soz, I really just discovered mascapone with Mercy's choc desert so don't have any savoury suggestions am 'fraid..............
Saz- Sounds fab. Might take a look online at that area, as we're not going abroad this year, so it'll be UK breaks for us!
Another cheesie queerie (I spelled that wrong didn't I? lol)................ Does anyone know of something to do with goats cheese, other than salad and omlette,at all? Feeling distinctly uninspired :huh:0 -

*gets on self righteous soapbox*
My son's birthday was recent and he had a 'Stig' birthday cake. Did I have any ? Nope. :A *polishes halo*
However....if it had been a thorntons one, things might well have been different........:rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -

If you make chocolate cake yourself, from the Rose Elliot cookbook, I guarantee you won't be tempted.
Neither will anyone else in the family.
Neither will your dogs.
So it's very low-carb indeed. Nil, in fact.0 -
