i bought a tub of marscapone to make mercy's dessert for last night ( talking of which i wonder where she is ??? )
i only used 2/3rds of it - i thought it was a bit weird really just a like a thich bland creamy thing
was lush in the dessert but on its own very plain imo - was thinking id use like i do creme fraiche maybe ?

SS, if you're going to be bad, always do it on your weigh day. Then you have 6 days to repent. :D

used mascarpone in sweet and savoury and yes its pretty much like ricotta, cream cheese etc just a slightly different flavour from what i can see they are interchangeable

yaay we have turned alias into a cook,, see what atkins does to u, reading labels, cooking weird things what next?? the world?

sweet u will only feel bloated and nasty if u touch that cake, not to mention its not for u its for ds... resist resist.... saw a brilliant recipe for lowcarb truffles today sure they would be nicer anyways

saz glad u had such a good time, i know camber sands area, used to be a pontins there as i recall (did i mention i worked for them in my youth?)

been looking at holidays myself and if i take Ds out of school for 3.5 daysit will cost be approx £900 less than if i take him the following week  ... so excuses for holiday request form pls <whistle>... i should say he hasnt had a single day off school since september except the ones that suited them to close the school that is!!!

Just those two words remind me of my childhood. We spent quite a few holidays in Camber Sands when I was a little girl.

  • pesto is probably out on induction because of the nuts :(

I found some "light" pesto in Waitrose. I was worried when I saw the word light but there are no added sugars and its 2.6g of carbs per 100g. The jar is 190g so I took a chance on this as Im way below the 20g daily carbs. Last night I spread a couple of teaspoonfuls on steak then popped it in the micro for a few secs to heat up. Today I took it down to half a jar and stirred it up with sliced chicken and 3 sundried toms. That however is the only carbs Ive had all day apart from a little in the sugarfee jelly and cream. Didnt bother with breakfast cos I got up rather late(10.30) so had lunch at 3.30 pm as I wasnt hungry before. I have a bad habit of eating at night and I still havent managed to give up the coffee yet. Ive cut down dramatically from approx 12 cups a day to about 3. I do check the contents of herbal teas. I don't do fizzy pop at all. Well Im getting there! I will probably get something more to eat about 9pm because "I should" The book says not to go more than 6 waking hours without food but Im no longer that hungry. I did have a couple of those tiny sugarfee mints yesterday but of course they are all carbs-although they weigh very little each-so little my scales wont weigh them.
Coke contains caffeine as well as sweeteners sois never recommended. Caffein can inhibit weight loss so I do need to ditch it. It also causes insomnia and contributes to high blood pressure Ive been told-2 areas I need to work on.
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults
