Low Carb Diet (atkins)

No, Angela, scrambled egg and blue cheese salad is fine, just sounds revolting! But what do I know - it could be the latest taste sensation!
Thanks for that recipe, HanSpan. I shall give it a go.
SS, I know what you mean about not wanting to make a song and dance about being on a diet, especially one as non-mainstream as this one. You should be proud that you're doing something about your weight, but I know exactly how you feel.
But it would be a shame to slow your progress with three whole days off-piste. You'll definitely have to go back to induction if you do that.0 -

Yay! Well done. :T
I am now into my 6th week (I think, I'm losing track a bit!!) & it's the family party on Friday, which is one reason I started doing low-carb. I'm not sure what to do about eating though as the party is in Scotland & involves 3 days away from home. (alias I'm going to North Ayrshire, anywhere near u?)
'Fraid not....I'm waaaaaayyyyy further up the road, lol.
I don't want to bring attention to the fact that I'm trying to lose weight (they are all skinnies!!) so am thinking of having those 3 days off? I wouldn't go mad but would eat carby things if I had to.
I don't know about anybody else but I HATE people knowing I'm trying to lose weight?
Would it be horrible to just say 'sod them'? :rotfl:
I've been heavy most of my life & I suppose I'm ashamed of that. When people comment on me losing weight I cringe, especially as I know I still have stones to lose.
Know what you mean about the last bit.....I always seem to try to play it down when someone comments about my weight loss by immediately saying 'yeah, still got a long way to go though'. Why do I do that? We're complicated creatures.
I had a sneak peak at the scales on Sat and they said I'd lost 3 lb this week which made me very happy...but this morning I'd apparently put 2 of those lbs back on! Period finally started overnight so it must be that. I honestly hand on heart have not cheated so I'll be gutted if it's not simply fluid retention. So my weight loss figure this week is 1 lbs. Yay!(The yay bit is so shy doesn't shout at me and the face is how I really feel.

lol alias i wont shout (maybe) but do bear in mind TOM has started to thats going to affect yr loss this week..... oh i still play it down when people say oh but u are the woman who has lost LOADS of weight havent u i sorta mumble and they say come on how much <mumble 8stone> u would think i would be yelling it from the rooftop lol
sweet well done... as far people knowing i can honestly say i was lowcarbing for approx 6months and no one had a clue in that time i went out for dinner with my parents, even ate at their house etc etc..... people dont take as much notice of what we eat as we think!!!! if u are at a hotel fried brekkies will be the order of the day no doubt so thats easy, party jus pick at what u want and if ueat out go for the less carby things,,, truly its easier than u think
off to the big smoke today with ds and dh wave at me if u are in london doing touristy things lol

SS, well done on your 4lb loss this week. Forgot to mention that. :T:T:T:T:T
I know what Shykins means about mumbling weight loss. I'm so pleased with myself for losing some weight, but at the same time maybe a bit ashamed that I got to the stage that I needed to lose so much, if you see what I mean.
I have lost half a pound this week.No surprise, particularly after yesterday's late-night [strike]binge[/strike] teensy snack of granary toast.
Have a lovely time in London, shykins. Looks as though it's going to be a nice day.0 -
David Mendosa reviews FATHEAD the Movie Interesting review of this film by a diabetic, if you also read the comments you'll see Tom McNaughton replying to that review as well.

Ted I think you get a limited number of times to switch regions on your pc - like 3 or 4 times - after that it will lock to the last one. Other than that you'd be looking at downloading software with varying degrees of legality lol... but don't quote me on that!:D
