I need to buy some more chromium tablets. Has any one got any recommendations on the best place to get them please

Hi Paula, I get them for my dad from Healthspan - £9.95 for 360 - but tbh I don't know if they are the cheapest and/or best.

Ah - just got back from a very naughty weekend away...
Saturday - leek soup, then went out for a birthday meal at the Chinese restaurant, bottle of white wine
Sunday - birthday lunch at the local pub (tomato and mushroom tart with asparagus), then just light snacks for tea (I had cucumber with peanut butter and marmite, er and another bottle of white wine)

My cousin really wanted a "proper" birthday cake, so we visited her friend who keeps chickens and kindly donated us some eggs, and I made her a traditional Victoria sponge with buttercream and raspberry jam... and I had to try just the tiniest slither of it to check it was OK :o Luckily it doesn't look as though I've put on any weight.

But this afternoon I'm going shopping and starting the Rose Elliot induction plan - will post updates!

That is a good form and a good price.

IHERB charge £8.59 (that's including p&p)for 250 but their form is an Albion Patent chelate claimed to be better absorbed so it MAY be worth a tad more.

However there are also IHERB introductory codes in the referrer's board that reduce the cost and spreading your own $5 introductory rewards code around amongst your friends/workmates and online further reduces the cost of future orders and the potential for getting caught by customs for orders worth more than £18.

Know what you mean about the last bit.....I always seem to try to play it down when someone comments about my weight loss by immediately saying 'yeah, still got a long way to go though'. Why do I do that? We're complicated creatures. :D
I say exactly the same thing!!
I had a sneak peak at the scales on Sat and they said I'd lost 3 lb this week which made me very happy...but this morning I'd apparently put 2 of those lbs back on! Period finally started overnight so it must be that. I honestly hand on heart have not cheated so I'll be gutted if it's not simply fluid retention. So my weight loss figure this week is 1 lbs. Yay! :( (The yay bit is so shy doesn't shout at me and the face is how I really feel. ;) ) :D
Definitely fluid retention, TOTM does that to me too. So Yay :D for losing the lb & knowing that it was really 3.

sweet well done... as far people knowing i can honestly say i was lowcarbing for approx 6months and no one had a clue in that time i went out for dinner with my parents, even ate at their house etc etc..... people dont take as much notice of what we eat as we think!!!! if u are at a hotel fried brekkies will be the order of the day no doubt so thats easy, party jus pick at what u want and if ueat out go for the less carby things,,, truly its easier than u think

Thanks Shykins, I'm going to try & stick to as low-carb as possible but we are staying with family so I suppose it depends on what they are cooking. I can easily avoid spuds if there's other veg available & I'm sure there will be at least one fry-up!!
I know we should be proud of our weight-loss but as HC said, it's a bit of embarrassment that we let ourselves become big in the first place.:o

I managed to not eat a hot cross bun after standing toasting and buttering loads last night and its not Easter yet!! there one thing i do love i once managed to eat a whole packet on the way home from supermarket (four in packet) have a good week all :j
I'm pretty sure we have all been there, I know I have!! My downfall was fig rolls - I could put a full packet away & then know about it the next day if you see what I mean!!:o :rotfl:

  • And to conclude my mega-marathon posting session!!
I was so busy feeling sorry for myself & wallowing in self-pity this morning I forgot to post my menu for today!!
    B - blues/rasps & cream
L - chicken, HM coleslaw, 2 toms & some grated cheese (forgot to get the salad!!)
D - chicken & cheesy leeks (could eat this every day!!)
Will be having the usual S&V peanuts later, and maybe a glass of wine with some cheese??
    Think that's everything!!
