Alias- soz to hear that but I think we can all empathise (with the ToTM) thing. Supermarkets are a dangerous place then, I have to go to Morrisons now, and I'm hungry cos got nowt in so that could also be dangerous!!:D
Cheers Tink, I wouldn't care but it cancelled out the fact I made flax porridge this morn (was yum) instead of the bad oats. No more choc of any kind for me then! Didn't know milk was so bad, Dr D allows it I think, but maybe only in limited amounts.
Right off to the lovely supermarket with a view to check all labels and stop being pants!!!0 -

If you're low carbing properly you'll stop craving sweet things. It really isn't clever to keep having sweet things as you'll never teach your body not to want them (IMO).sweetserendipity wrote: »Anyway, hope you feel better soon & have a [STRIKE]bottle[/STRIKE] glass of wine if you want one!!
Better not to. Alcohol will slow down weight loss as it sends blood sugars flying. Sorry0 -

Which plan are you doing though?
This is why you need to choose one and stick to it0 -

Am inbetween plans, if that's possible!Actually, will probably start Dr D cos it looks simple in that you don't nd to weigh and count things. I read somewhere that it's v similar to part of the Atkins (not the induction bit tho!), but never having read Atkins, I dunno. Which plan are you doing, as you don't state?

PILLY the carbs would of been sugar alchohol carbs. some people count them others dont, personally i know if i have too much in the way of sweetener i am not going to lose (not to mention what it does to your insides!!!)
ok for PMT cravings forget the booze, choc, carbs etc... get some cream cheese mix it with some cocoa or 100%cacao and add some sweetner.. EAT SLOWLY!!!!!!!!
as tink says tho u have to fight the cravings... trust us when we say they do go away but the more u feed them the longer it takes for them to go away.... i was in morrisons earlier and boy did i want choc, my hub said get some then but i said NOOOOO it will make it worse
ohhh and whilst in morrisons buyin the pork i noticed they do pork rind so u can make extra crackling!! yaaay was huge bits of it 58p gonna cook that with my pork tomorrow and enjoy yum yum yum

Pilly - fight those craving girl! For me the almond flour recipe things/splenda don't work, I don't really like them and they're not helping me develop my non-sweet tastebuds.
I've found very crispy spicey chicken wings help me with cravings, it's like I need something to nibble on. The fresh ones are v cheap in Morrisons, about 80p for 8 (sorry not FR but I'm skint and beggars can't be choosers with a family to feed) and I coat them in spicey chicken seasoning and roast them for a good hour and a half until v crispy, eat hot or cold, I try to keep a pile inthe fridge for nibbling.
By the way - I'm really struggling with my work colleagues. They just keep forcing food on me - and I'm running out of ways to politely say I don't want it .........HELP!
I'm not overweight, but I would like to be slimmer. My main reason for lowcarbing is health benefits and they just don't get it. This week I've had to fight off sweets from someone's holiday, jam donuts and carrot cake. They make me feel if I say no I'm snubbing my nose at someone's celebration....and then I get all the comments about how they are more overweight than I am so I've got to eat it etc......what to do?! I'm not very good at confrontation and they are a lovely bunch but its getting on my wick now.:mad:0 -
avstar ....can u tell them for health reasons u are gluten free at the moment? When you know better you do better0

I don't have tummy pain due to stress - bit worried it's whatever Baby had last night
No different really. But still have the incentive to continue because I haven't seen that weight for about 3 years. My bad time of the month as well so have just spent the afternoon asleep! Hope that's all it is. And I hope you haven't caught anything from baby!
Avstar, there is always 'gateau' at sewing circle when I go so I have the smallest piece going just to 'taste' it and not cause any offense, but then they are more understanding. When I worked in an office (a lifetime away now) we always used to buy some fruit as well as a cake if it was someone's birthday. Perhaps it could be suggested?Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -

Idiot Proof Diet.
I don't believe you can do it without choosing 1 plan and see continuous results.
There's been lots of discussion about that on here over the last year0
