Did your bindge tip you over the edge on the scales my weigh day is tomo and my 14 days induction was supposed to be over on tue. The thing is everbody is on this diet from i started my hubby and mother and father in law and im such a bad ambasssador for it today

I enjoyed every minute of my pizza binge, and put on 4 lb overnight. But almost all of it was water and it had all gone six days later when I weighed 'officially' - plus another pound.

Don't be disheartened - just try again. But to be honest, you've got so little to lose that maybe you should try a slightly less strict diet, like Dr D.

The other thing i thought was (whilst bindging) is that its good to give your body a kick start and have one day off from your diet each week. what you think about that??? Thanks for all your comments there all very useful.

    Nice try, but no!!!

Every time you re-start the diet it's harder, you go through withdrawal again, and it can actually damage you (I think) to go from carbs to low carbs again and again.

You really need to stop until you understand what you need to be doing. You risk hurting yourself if you don't do it right (re supplements etc) ;)

i am taking a multi vitamin and chromium every day which was recomended in the book. Ted said to take coconut oil as well are there any other supplements you would advise. Thanks. I know im so dissapointed with myself iv tried so many other diets and cant face going throw them again ill just start in the morning with a large omlette and see if i can go threw the 2 days withdrawal that it says about in the book and im starting execersice on monday in work which should speed things up. The only thing that concerns me is the lack of energy.

I was wondering about that but my hubby is really getting into this he is diabetic and i want both of us to make the change as it will really mean a lot to him and with both of us on it. it would be more practical with cooking etc.

Brill about the weight loss ill maybe ask ted if atkins is the best diet for diabetes. Thanks HC your making feel better already:D

i'm not on atkins (i'm on the idiot proof diet) and i take

2x fish oil capsules (it's good for you)
2x psyllium husks (to avoid constipation)
1x multi vitamin (without iron - very important)
1x vitamin b complex (helps burn fat, not muscle)
2x chromium (to stabilise blood sugar)
60-100mcg coenzyme Q10 (for energy and brain alertness)

and I notice, big time, if i don't take them ;)

iron will make you constipated if you aren't eating fibrous veg and carbs ;)

and no, the idiot proof diet is a low carb diet. check out https://www.pig2twig.co.uk

you need to choose 1 diet, read everything you can about it, and then re-start it when you know exactly what you're doing ;)

I love this website. There are some fantastic recipes on there:D . I find it much better than the american sites as there's not a 'cup measurement' in sight;)
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    My way is Atkins;)
