  • stacey- I was just gonna make the same suggestion as HC. Maybe Atkins is too much for you given you're not needing to lose much. Have you checked out any other low carb diet? Why put yourself thru induction again? Sounds horrific!
I would just 2nd wot others have said. The good thing about Dr D,by the way, is that there's no book, just a site where she tells you wot you can and can't eat. Very simple. If you do choose another, read the book cover to cover. I'm in a dilemma myself at the mo, as really need more discipline and structure. Am veering toward Dr.D tho. At least on here we can get lotsa support and advice from the "veterans"!:rotfl: It's good to know we aren't on our own........:j

thanks for the advice i may go for Dr B and who is Dr D please, ill have a look at that. I was a weight watchers gold card holder:rotfl::rotfl: means i reached my goal so im not that over weight. I dont like being to thin so i only want to lose enough to fit into the clothes which are a bit tight at the mo.

I would like to look womanly not athletic. But yeah its good were in this limbo toghther :rotfl:

hope you get the motivation u need too. What about a day of fasting to kick start yourself. It might kick start the weight loss. Or i find (such a good dieter lol) that reading more will help. This forum has really helped me tonight.

Blimey I had a hectic night last night! Had everything planned out for a quiet evening of getting organised, followed by today off work to prepare for a houseparty tonight. But then...

I got stuck at work, so when I got home there was a chap from Freecycle already waiting there to pick up an item. I then started scrambling through everything, unable to find it! I said "I'll check in the car" but couldn't find my keys. Doorbell rang - my lodger's brother, who then tried to have a chat with me with Freecycle guy still stood there. I eventually managed to politely banish him downstairs.

Apologised to the chap - can I drop him a line when I've found it? He leaves - doorbell rings again, "oo another Freecycler, which one's this?", no it's my friend from England complete with baby on a surprise visit! Not expecting her till tomorrow so I haven't made the spare bedroom up, haven't got any food in... but she has got the item meant for Freecycle chap!

Anyway, left the lodger's brother and the friend from england to entertain each other while I then sorted out the spare bedroom, interrupted occasionally by Freecyclers, and eventually came downstairs to read Baby a bedtime book. Cooked my mushroom and leek bake and bulked it up with flax bread so we could all share.

Got ready to go to bed, and found that poor Baby was sick everywhere, needed a cuddle and cleanup and change of bedding. 10 minutes later, it happened again... and 10 minutes later...

So now I've got a party to host tonight, I haven't sorted through all my paperwork and tidied it away like I'd planned, I haven't even given the neighbours their invitations, I've got more Freecyclers coming today, and my tummy hurts...

Forgot to mention, when Friend from England came through the door she presented me with:
    - Box of chocolates (low cocoa, milky ones)
    - Bottle of fizzy rose
    - Tupperware of homemade iced fairy cakes with my name on them. She caveated "they're made with organic eggs" (I've never eaten an egg that wasn't home-laid, and I don't think she knows the difference between organic and free-range _pale_)

It's so sweet of her to do all this, but I really wish she'd stayed at home 24 hours and not brought me a load of totally-diet-unfriendly stuff! Is that awful?

aaah badger dont u just LOVE those sort of days!!! maybe not the best timing all the freecyclers at once lol, sure u will get all sorted

stacey i didnt realise u only have a few pounds to lose things will always be slower when u dont have so much to lose, maybe u could try one of the other lowcarb plans tho if hubby is on atkins it might be a bit confusing but u could try one of the later stages of atkins as he has already done induction

oh and trust me induction is not horrific at all its just that if people are VERY carbed up they find the withdrawal harder and they would find that on any of the lowcarb diets..... i can quite happily eat on induction all the time

btw did u all see that british pork is 2.99 a kg at morrisons til saturday.. off to get some later methinks and yes i know i dont usualy buy meat in supermarkets but its such a good deal, just hope its nice!
