Cheers Shykins. Wow wish they did bigger bags of g.almond and desicated coconut, looks like I'll be going thru a lot, as well as flax. Incidentally.......
Mercy- How you getting on with Dr.D, as I noticed you recently started? I know Ted's had lotsa success. Just wondering cos thinking I need more structure, so following a proper plan may give better results. It's between Dr.D and Protein Power. By following something as loosely as I do with Paleo, I'm being too slack and not as strict as I think I could be.
Bearing in mind that I don't need to lose lotsa weight, so Atkins is a bit too much for me. It's just that I wanna be healthier and gain the other benefits, any weight loss would be a bonus, not a motivator.
N.B This post is due to the fact I just measured my !!! and it's expanded by an inch! * Wake up call alert *
Could this be because I'm still eating too many carbs as well as upping the fat? Rather than being properly low carb then increasing fat?
Tink- Ur so right, the oats have gotta go, and the fruit intake has to come down. I am not impressed with this flaming muffin top that hangs over my jeans like a shelf! Dragging self to gym now......if I'm in need of motivation I just look in the full length mirror! (whilst having TMF on the telly!):rotfl:0 -

5HTP is known to be an appetite suppressant (IHERB introductory discount codes) and you may find using that also makes it very much easier to get through longer periods without getting ratty. I didn't use 5HTP last year when I was actually trying to lose weight but since it was mentioned here earlier this year, I've tried some out and I'm sure it helps me reduce my tendency to snack on nuts/olives/cheese. But it's early days as I've only been using it a week. I'll give it a month before coming to any final conclusion.
Ted thanks will have to get that co!!!! oil and the 5HTp. I have really fell of the wagon and have eat so much rubbish that im not even going to list in case Im a bad influance on others.
This is so hard and i feel bloated and ill cause iv eat so much rubbish and so pathetic cause i bindged. I dont know what im doing wrong but i feel starved at times on this and dont get that full feeling even after iv eaten a meal. I spent a fortune on food yesterday and the meat loaf i made was disgusting its off the atkins book. Having a bad day had no energy today and couldnt get up hubby felt the same no energy at all dont know what im doing wrong need a kick on the !!!Atkins started 26 Jan 09 so far lost 14lb 7lb to go0 -
stacey u should be starved at all with atkins... u need to list exactly what u eat and i can tell u what is and isnt suitable for atkins.. people tend to get a bit confused as there are a few different diets on here, u need to choose one and thats it
i know its lovely having all these treats and sweet things for recipes that are suggested but the truth of it is these are mainly for maintenance, if u want to lose u have to get real and follow whatever plan to the letter with no variations or slipping in this or that...... sorry but thats the reality

stacey just had a look at your post yesterday for food, have added my comments in bold
seems good but at times it is so hard had another bit of choc today cant wait till its all done its too tempting. sorry no choc on atkins
B- Omlette mushroom and cheese great choice
L- nothing no wonder u are hungry no lunch???
T- steak butter beans 1/4 tin and garlic olive oil and rocket lettuce ..butter beans are not on induction approx 2.5g per ounce!!
jelly and cream snack a few olives stuffed with feta cheese. And a small bit of coleslaw (homemade) personally i wouldnt eat the jelly on induction some people are susceptible to sweeteners, how much cheese did u eat max 3oz a day on induction
what did u drink? u should be having lots of water, did u have coffee any other snacks etc etc

Hi pilly - Dr D publishes an english-language version of her plan on her blog here. As far as I know this isn't available in book form. I always thought the nice thing about her plan was that you didn't need to spend money on a book in order to follow it. Very MSE! :money:
That and the fact that it is very straightforward to follow.
Ted did mention recently something about her co-publishing a recipe book but perhaps this is only published in her native Sweden at the moment?
HTH, and good luck

Not sure if anyone would be interested or not but Tesco have bags of frozen fish half price from £9.99 to £4.99. I got a bag of white and also a smoked haddock one. Have to say I was amazed at how many bits of fish were in the bag. Considering I paid nearly £3 in Morrisons the other day for 2 smallish bits of smoked haddock, this was the bargain of the year.
I know not everyone likes fish but it's filling and you can melt cheese on top of the white one and grill it etc. No carbs to speak of and good for you at the same time.Herman - MP for all!0 -

The person who wrote that book with Annika has her own blogsite which has lots of recipes. Most of them you can work out the ingredients with the clues the photos and google translate provide. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program
