Sorry, must've mixed you up a bit.

So, you're a 'general low carb' lady. Think that'd do. That's what I like about this, many are following plans but 'general low carb' I think means no to spuds, sugar and processed carbs like rice, pasta, bread etc.

If I need direction it is always welcome. This I think is the vibe here, we all want to learn cos we all have a joint goal. To lose weght or maintain when we've got there.

newish thanks for the kinds words not sure i am a saviour tho lol... i do think we all get used to eating a lot of dairy and dont realise just HOW much we do eat and as we get nearer goal we do have to consider what we are eating a bit more... u know dr atkins didnt say calories NEVER count he said carbs count more

sorry to hear about peopls off the wagon with bread at the very least make sure it is granary but why dont u get some lowcarb breadmix and make some of that for those times? or instant bread even

i know its hard but there will always be people who for one reason and another will derail u, as i always say at least i can control my food and not let these people BEAT me... yeah may sound a bit weird but it works for me lol.... when i was going thru my very messy divorce the times i felt like giving up after a day in court and stuffing i just thot no i wont let that !!!!!! ruin this for me as well (stubborn little critter me lol)

pancake recipe using almond, not tried it so cant vouch for it sorry

1 cup almond flour, 2 eggs
1/4 cup water (for puffier pancakes, you can use sparkling water)
    2 T oil
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 T sweetener

mix and cook like ordinary pancakes

  • Mercy, can I ask a huge favour??:o

You know that fab post you did with all the links for various recipes, could you make a reference to that in your signature as well IYKWIM?

That way, any newbies (and forgetful me:o ) will see the link/post number and hopefully lots of people will hit your thanks button and also, the post won't get lost in this VERY LONG THREAD;):D.

I'm not sure if you can actually do a link in a signature:confused: but even a little note "low carb recipes, see post xxxx" would be very useful:)

    Thanks hun:D
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    Tis done!

Wrap up warm people! We didn't get the extra snow yet but it's VERY cold.

    Have a good day!

Well!!!!! Not a drop of snow overnight here in deepest Berkshire! Did Michael Fish come out of retirement to do last night's weather forecast, I wonder?

My DDs tried to drag me out for lunch yesterday, since they had no school, but I resisted. :A Trying to be a good girl this week (with regard to eating and spending unnecessary money). :D

    Yesterday:

    B: none
L: corned beef and egg mayo salad
D: lamb shank, teeny bit of the sweetened sauce/gravy/jus stuff that comes with it, broccoli cheese, French beans

I've changed my sig to make it a bit clearer which plan I'm following.

Have a good day everyone. Wrap up warm if you're going out, and drive carefully - all that snow will have turned to treacherous slippery slush or ice. :(
