I'm so ill I see I haven't taken the tree down yet.

Good afternoon everyone. :hello:
Thanks for all your messages about my little problem!!:rotfl: I know from looking at previous posts that it's not just me!! Still haven't managed to get the fibresure, thanks for clarifying it is a natural product by the way. Have pinched some of my Dad's senokot so I might try that tonight if I don't get out shopping this afternoon. Interesting to hear I can order it via Amazon & also that it's on offer in Tesco - thank you:T . Pilly, you are probably right about the sedentary reason - haven't managed to get on treadmill this week & ended up going to Co-op in the car instead of walking:o . Have been drinking more water though so not that.
Anyway, my menu for today:
B - blues/rasps & cream (kind of addicted to them now!!)
L - egg mayo salad
D - roast chicken & cheesy leeks (can't wait!!)
Pud - jelly fool
One last thing, going to make my own coleslaw tomorrow - got white cabbage (do I wash it?!:o ), spring onions & I'll put half a carrot in with a blob of mayo - does that sound about right?
Hope everyone having a good day.

SweetS - to be honest, I just remove the very outer leaves of the cabbage and don't bother washing the rest, unless it looks dirty, obviously... I'll probably get shot for saying that lol like I was for saying that I sometimes make my coleslaw with savoy cabbage instead of white!:o:D Oh well, I'm a bit mad y'know:D I add spring onions to mine, but not carrot - to save on the carbs - but also add a tablespoon or two of vinegar just to loosen the mayo slightly and help it mix in. Hope that helps!
Gilly - we better take that tree down - it's bad luck ya know!:D And who is this wonderful woman you speak of? Coz it certainly isn't me! xx

TTFN
yup thats it - just for runs tho really
have always done lots of classes and feel fine low carbing with that but have been doing couch to 5k and before christmas i was starting to plateau at 15 mins - just felt i didnt have any more energy
had a break over christmas and have really struggled to get back into my running - classes have been fine tho
so i am now trying the porridge to see if this helps with more energy and early inidcations show it is - had a fairly carby indian on sat night - lots of onions and ran brilliantly on sunday - and again yesterday had porridge and did a great run
so going to try it and watch the scales and just see really:j MFi3 wannabee :j

just discovered something tasty
chicken slices topped with layer of total yogurt and green pesto
1st day down and not that painful at all- hope everyone else has had a good day x
'is nibs does something similar (when he isn't on strike!) with Quorn fillets, chick peas and pesto. When I was in Morrisons the other week they were selling a bag of 6 fillets for 99p. It seemed to be their normal price rather than an offer so for those on a budget (and who isn't!) even if you aren't veggie, they work out quite cheap. Just got a packet out of the freezer. Protein 13.1g, carbs 6.1g ,fibre 4.9g. Fat only 1.9g, but you can't have everything, can you? Just keep adding the yoghurt!:DVegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -
Well just made oopsie, and it's as flat as the preverbial!!:rotfl: Yes, I knew disaster was imminent when I got a dead arm doing the whisking (next time will get an electric whisk or even one of them that have a handle you turn!) so the whites were more the consistency of a frothy sputum sample than "stiff". but I ploughed on, so that's why I say "oopsie" as in singular cos it was far too runny to mold into individual ones.
It appears edible, however, so will report back after taste test.........:T0 -
pilly only takes me 5mins or so to whisk by hand so there must of been some sort of problem did u accidentally get any yolk in? i use a glass dish dont ask me why but dont seem to whisk so well in plastic and i use a metal whisk....
still never mind just cut it into squares and use like that
diasy glad the running is getting easier with the porridge, so is it a marathon next? When you know better you do better0 -
Heehee!! Maybe I just don't have your stamina, Shykins! But Yeah, I cut it into squares. Quite nice, tastes like egg and cream cheese! Kinda like doin an omelette in the oven.0

lol pilly i doubt it but u really need stiff whites to make them BUT found this for u and everyone else having probs with oopsies
cant make an oopsie try a floopsie!
4 eggs (separated? NAH!!)
4oz cream cheese
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
2TBS coconut flour (or almond or poss flax)
blend in magic bullet or blender and pour into a well greased 9x13 pan. there will be small lumps of cheese that's OK....bake at 300 for 25 minutes
not tried these but reading some people saying they put cocoa powder and weetener in to make a sort of cake and then i guess u could layer it with cream cheese and da vinci mix like a victoria sponge????
x
