Healthy direct omega 3 Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) 330 mg
Docosahexanoic Acid (DHA) 220 mg= 550mg 180 caps £12.99 7.22p each
I get most of mine from Iherb.
Iherb + deliver =£ 22.66 240 Softgels = 9.4p each
but these are MOLECULARLY DISTILLED which means all the pollution/pesticide/heavy metal has been removed and each capsule contains 360 EPA/240 DHA 600mg so 10% more and if you spread your rewards code around you may also get a bit of discount to reduce the price a tad. (look in the referrals board for a $5 introductory discount code)
They take the same time to deliver as Healthy direct or Zipvit or Simply supplements. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Morning all!
For supplements I generally use http://www.simplysupplements.net/
or healthy direct / iherb I check to see who's cheapest at the time. Lately Asda have been doing 2 for £4 on some of the supplements I buy and this has undercut all for some products. Worth shopping around. Simply also have free p&p and often £2 off £15 spend.
Worth noting. I use a debit card and am charged £1.50 by my bank for purchases in dollars.
B - sausages
L - chicken, tomato, mayo and cream cheese
D - Going to try to make sesame seed crackers, if ok will have with ham olives and cheese. I'll let you know how it goes
Happy day to all!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted much over the last couple of days but have been quite busy (I have been keeping an eye on this thread;) )
Weighed yesterday as I had completed my 2nd week of induction after my indulgence over Christmas:rolleyes: .
By the time I started back on the induction, I had put on 11lb over Christmas:eek:
Last week, I lost 7lb of those lbs:) but this week, I haven't lost anything:(
I have stuck to the plan (except I don't tend to each much salad as right off that at the mo) eating lots of protein and veg (cauli, cabbage, beansprouts). Is this normal even on the induction? If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.
My way is Atkins0 -
I'm back & I'm pleased to report I made it through day one!!!
Yesterday was tough but only because it was an unexpectedly stressful day plus I'm in the throes of the dreaded PMT - maybe not such a good time to start low-carb?!
Anyway, I still haven't managed to start reading the whole thread, my head was a bit fuzzy yesterday!! I've read bits & bobs & the only thing I'm a bit worried about is that I seem to have eaten a lot more than anyone else!!:rotfl: Yesterday I had:
B - 2 egg cheese omelette
L - Roast chicken (a few pieces left over from Sunday)
D - Steak (from reduced counter!)/Fried Egg & half a tin of chopped toms
Pud - Jelly fool (sugar free jelly, creme fraiche & rasps whipped together)
Also had:
1 slice of ham
2 slices of leerdammer cheese
small handful of salted peanuts
1 pear
Seems a lot when I write it all down but not when I was eating it!!:rotfl:0 -

IMO you MUST eat your salad, especially on induction - it's far lower in carbs than veg. If you replace salad with veg, you're upping your carbs, and induction is about minimising carbs.
Are you drinking lots of water?0 -

which plan are you doing?
where's your salad and veg?
are you doing induction?0 -
Hi tinkerbell, I'm doing my version of low-carb which is basically no potatoes, rice, pasta or bread. I'm not following Atkins as such so no induction.
Blame my local co-op for no salad, had to do my low-carb shop there yesterday & they had nothing!! Hopefully able to go to Netto today so will stock up on stuff there. Would like to make up a big salad to last over 2-3 days - lettuce/onion/pepper/cherry toms etc. Is this the kind of thing you mean?0 -
Hi folks
Sweetserendipity, I'd go easy on the onions, peppers and tomatoes if you're right at the beginning. Have lots of green leaves and cucumber.
Yesterday for me:
B: none
L: scrambled eggroast pork, Brie and broccoli bake, leeks
S: bits of cheese and cherry tomatoes
Badger_Lady, that villa looks marvellous. However, OH has an irrational dislike of France. Can't understand it myself, as I love it. So (if he can arrange the time off, which we're not sure about) we think we'll be heading for Malta, flying Easyjet so we can spend the money on the villa. I've really GOT to lose lots more weight if we go. (Not that I shall wear a bikini - after having twins, my tummy is not the prettiest part of me .)0 -

Good luck with that!
Early stages of most low carb diets don't allow onion, red peppers or tomatoes, nor fruit.
Not sure how well 'lower' carb will work, but perhaps if you do it for a long time it will work0 -

I drink a minimum of 2litres of water a day and then a few cups of decaf coffee on top.
I have been vigilant in counting carbs and even though I have been eating veg, I have made sure that my total carb count for each day has been less than 20g.If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.
