    Today's menu:

Breakfast - Bakewell tart (thanks to Mercy), and 1 boiled egg (this is a daily thing now, because the chickens keep laying in the morning whilst still sat on their perch, so the egg has a 6" drop and cracks on landing! I pop it in a pan of boiling water and eat it straight away. I get at least 1 whole egg later on in the day)

Lunch - Spinach and leaf salad with 3 baby plum tomatoes, 5 olives, 9 veggie meatballs and some dairy-free parmesan

Supper - greek yoghurt with 11 raspberries

I've decided there's only one way to see if this diet is still working in the right direction - tomorrow I'm going to buy my first ever set of scales! I'm also going to buy an electric whisk (for all these eggy recipes, where a fork just doesn't seem to do the job), and a Christmas present for my sister (Mum, please don't tell her I haven't bought it yet!).

Looks like I'm going to have to bake an egg custard tart now too!

I dont own a set of scales any more! I became WAAAAYYYY too obsessed with them, and was weighing myself morning, noon and night! Nowdays, I tend to measure inches, and maybe once a fortnight or so, I pop into 'Boots' and use their electric scale thing!
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

Ah, you see - I only "pop into Boots" once a year! That's why all the measurements I've got so far are:
    - February 2008 13st10
    - December 2008 11st10 (both before and after Christmas )

Now I'm paranoid that if I have a lazy day / week I might start to head in the wrong direction without realising... particularly after watching Claire Sweeney's thing the other day (did anyone see that? It's funny because we're the same height and our measurements "skinny" and "fat" were the same, except she was doing it in reverse!!! And for some reason she weighs less than me :().

I have basically lost all my excess weight over the past year and now need to make sure I hang onto my new figure (and maybe just slim down that little bit more, for the cameras, you know)... so I need a warning system to stop me ever putting on more than I can easily work off...

Now that ive lost all my weight, i tend to live by the '80/20' mantra....
As long as im good 80% of the time, I can have a bit of what I fancy for the other 20% of the time!
If I DO have some chocolate, or a cake, then I make sure I pull it back straight away...

I watched the clare sweeny thing, and I found it really misleading to say the least.... mostly because, despite of the airbrushed pictures, i dont think she was a size ten to start with....

They had obviously tried to exaggerate things  But you could clearly see the difference... and she did put on 2 stone in 6 weeks. I wasn't impressed by the pre-publicity either, but they never tried to claim a G cup in the actual programme!

I found it relevant purely because I recognised myself in her - she's 5'8" and started at a "size 10" - well I'm 5'8" and have just started wearing size 10 (still some 12s). She ended up clearly more bulgy, 2 stone heavier and a size 14 - I started off bulgy, 2 stone heavier and 14-16. My worst nightmare is returning to that, which is exactly what I watched someone else do! It wasn't fun to see; made me feel quite scared...

Oh goodness. We are talking about a summer holiday. That means a bikini. :(Big push for me, from now till summer. Anyone know of a villa sleeping 6 in July? I'm searching the Internet but there is too much to choose from, and lots beyond budget. Anyone with a large villa in Greece etc, please speak now. It was easier when you had to go to a travel agent and be satisfied with the brochures. :(

I will post that moussaka recipe, or if you can't wait, I did post it earlier in the thread, if you can be be bothered to search.

    Today:

    Feta and bacon salad
M&S chicken with mushroom and bacon; green beans
