    Hi all!

Since my lovely omlette (1 large tomato if you're counting) I have bathed to Gardener's Question Time, exfoliated, deforrested (q a hairy girl) had a facial, manicure and pedicure and slathered myself in coconut oil. :D

Feeling good I weighed in, 1 week now, and lost 3 pounds!

Cats are unconcious in a chicken induced coma and all is well in my little world.

Seems to be working :D But was it the lack of alcohol in the week, drinking enough water, discovering tasty pudding treats, taking it seriously or a combination?

    Who cares, it's working!

And now more delights in the form of egg custard! Can I take so much joy?!
(think so, bring it on :D)

Hope all are well and happy

    Big love

You don't have any control over what life throws at you.
You DO have control over how you react :)

you'll be heavier at night than in the morning ;)

according to the IPD you should really weigh once a week, at the same time in the morning, after a poo but before breakfast

I got weighed this morning and got a right shock

The situation is worse than I thought and I am going to have to lose weight.

Still not decided between Nerys and India IPD, or South Beach. I've ordered the IPD book and the cookbook from my library and hope they'll arrive soon so I can give them a read. I've read the book before but it was a couple of years ago so need to refresh my memory.
South Beach is not as strict as IPD or Atkins (I'm hopeless, you see !) and I did feel really well on it last time I did it.
So need to make a decision there.

Still clearing my fridge/freezer of all the 'bad' stuff. Am on a very very tight budget right now and can't afford to chuck any food away, and if I have it in the house I'll eat it. So for the next week or so I'm just trying to concentrate on not completely pigging out but just eating what's in the house and planning my diet.

I've set my start date, using the guidance in the Beck Diet Solution. (A very interesting book that would be worth a look from anyone wanting to lose weight, IMO).

Thanks for the reminder of the psyllium husks - I will be needing those :o

  • I haven't measured my inches but I do see my waist nipping in more, I think.

    Today:

    B: eggs, berries, cream
L: pork slices, smoked cheeses, salad leaves
D: cod in parma ham with pesto, stir fry veg (had carrots and corn in, oops)

snack: cucumber topped with philly and salmon pate

I turned down sunday lunch at my friend's (and hers is better than mine- she's famous for it!)
    de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar ;)
