    Hi to all,

I know I have been quiet of late. Partly busy, partly norty carbing.
We started trying to get back onto the wagon on Monday. We've been good apart from when we have been bad.
    I think it's fish fingers tonite (!!!).

Anyway, I will ammend by siggy on Monday. It's quite bad - I have put most of a stone back on since our relaxing/removal of dieting early december.

If I'm honest, the weight loss isn't really that important to me at the moment. Sazzy loves me whatever. But I want to and will get back to this diet properly next week. We are just using up stuff. Is it possible to water retain a stone of fluid?? LOL

Anyway, I hope you all have a great 2009 and I do hope that Drabby is taking care of herself and hers. I am so sorry for your loss girlie.

Appreciate the tom sauce recipe...thank you. :D I might have meatballs tonight.

I didn't have breakkie today as I just wasn't hungry (and I'm trying to listen to my body and only eat when I need to  :D ).

For lunch I had tuna mixed with mayo/spring onion/yellow pepper and a side order of chips.

Just kidding....threw that last bit in to see if you were all paying attention. :rotfl:

Hello all I have some quesions please.
    Dr Dahlqvists:-

What does she mean by A roll of ham and cheese, perhaps with a little butter on I'm assuming she doesn't mean a bread roll but does she mean to just roll the cheese in some ham and put butter on the ham ?

    She also says
Cauliflower cooked in cream, then mixed with some salt and pepper, is better tasting than mashed potatoes!
Has anyone tried it, how do you cook it and is it nice? :D
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

    Hi Low-Carbers :)

I need to lose about 3-4st and am thinking about how to do it. I've done WW (struggled a lot and was always hungry), SW (all the carbs on Green days just made me more hungry!) and a low-ish carb diet, the South Beach Diet. Had most success of all on the South Beach, wasn't hungry and it killed my carb cravings.

It makes most sense for me to do South Beach again. But my main concern is the cost of buying the food. I know it's not the same plan as Atkins (not as low carb) but I just thought I'd ask here if any of you have any advice on keeping food costs down on your eating plans. There's no denying that it's far cheaper to eat a huge plate of spuds or pasta than it is to eat meat.,....I know that my health is much more important than money, but I'm really on a very tight budget right now, so any tips you have would be gratefully received as I'm using lack of finances as an excuse to not do it :o

ps if anyone else is on South Beach please let me know!

Yes it's fine, Just eat the sandwich fillings don't eat the bread. It's really quite nice eating ham and cheese. I do it all the time.

Cauliflower cooked in cream, then mixed with some salt and pepper, is better tasting than mashed potatoes![/url]Cauli can be quite wet so I tend to turn it into rice in the processor then put that chopped up small pieces of cauli in a sealed microwaveable container and zap until it's done then slop in some cream/butter salt/pepper and mash.
I think you have to think of it as different from mashed potato but OK. The secret it to try to dry off the cauli as much as possible and not use any when you microwave it. Otherwise it can go very sloshy.
