    Morning all!

I was a bit bothered about the yellow pee thing too, so thanks for that :D
When I drink water I add a little bit of lime cordial and top it up with hot water so it's not a shock to the system. Managed about 1.5 litres yesterday which is my best since starting this on Monday.

    Eatings of yesterday
B - sausages plus one at breaktime
L - Home made curry, (turkey thigh and veg)
D - 2 drumsticks, bavarian ham and cream cheese, olives
Also Tinks mousse, Yum! and quite filling. Ta Tink

Has anyone else been watching Paul McKenna? I've found his techniques interesting, especially eating conciously.

Hope we all have a very good day

    Morning, folks

I'm not getting notifications again. There must still be an elf in the MSE server.

    Yesterday:

    B: none
L: sausage, streaky bacon, half a FULL-SIZE tomato!
D: Waitrose Catalan Chicken (half a pack), cauli mash with Parmesan, spinach with butter and nutmeg
S: three glasses of white wine :o

I pity my family at the moment as I'm putting off going shopping until I've used up as much as possible from the freezer and cupboards. I reckon I can hold out a couple more days. ;) They're getting fish fingers and mash this evening, lol!

I've been reading Rose Elliott over Christmas, and there's a recipe in there for easy low-carb tomato ketchup. If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll post it here.

hello all..nice and foggy still here today!

as penance for the pulses today i have pate and lettuce wraps for lunch..rather looking forward to them i must say..tonight is omelette for tea.

carb head is better today thank heavens but that could be the pulses..lmao

i saw the paul mckenna thing mercy and found it interesting..particularly the stop when you're full bit. what he seemed to basically be saying was if you pig out you'll get fat..really! golly.

on that note did you see the claire Sweeney programme where she ate whatever she fancied for six weeks and put on TWO STONE!!!!! me thinks she was a little piglet to put that much on!

    Hello lovelies :hello:

It was so dark leaving the house for work this morning and I'm feeling really tired. Ho hum, at least it's Friday tomorrow. I'm not watching Paul McKenna but I read the book a few years ago. I think techniques like that are fine but applying them in real life over the long-term is not realistic, imo.

Pink - i thought that whole claire sweeney thing was suspect, tbh. And did you notice at the end when having her 'fat' pictures taken she was trying to stick her tummy out like there was no tomorrow lol! Hmm...

    Well,

    B - my usual
L - small greek salad and some cold chicken
D - the curry I didn't have last night lol with veggies of some description.

Like you HC, we've been trying to use stuff up. And funnily enough we have a pack of fish fingers in the freezer - *must resist*:D I wouldn't mind having a go at Rose Elliott's low carb tom ketchup - if you don't mind posting it - but no rush, whenever you get the chance hun xx

I need to do a Tesco online shop but not feeling inspired foodwise:rolleyes:

Have a good day all

    Much love,
    Sazzy xxxxxxxx

    question for you ladies

what type of lettuce do you use for your wraps? i thought crispy like and iceberg would be good but they're disintegrating as i eat them! still taste yummy though.

    any ideas?

Hi Pink, Ive done little parcels of pate/cheese/ham with little gem lettuce leaves - they held up OK but obviously they're nibble size rather than lunch sized!

Well did my first weigh-in as I've been fully on the plan for exactly a week - I've stuffed my face and eaten things I wouldn't normally "cos they make you fat", cheese, sausages, chicken with skin on etc etc and I've lots 4lbs!
I haven't done a single bit of exercie either.

I was quite shocked - weightloss isn't the primary reason for the plan for me, I just want to eat food that agrees with my body more. So I haven't been controlling portions etc, T'other half was shocked "....but you've been eating loads!" And yes the bloating has gone yippee!

Managed to get some cream of tartar this morn so I'll def give the oopsies a go on my new silicon baking sheet.

    Yesterday
B - fried egg ad ham
L - salad with chicken pieces and mayo
D - 2 sausages and stirfry of leek & pepper
    Snacks - pieces of cheese

One wierd thing I have noticed - normally when I'm hungry if I don't eat within an hour I become almost frantic - panicky, shaky, faint. I'm known for being a right grumpy cow until I've had my evening meal at home. But the last few days I've been hungry come mealtime but calm, cooking a full meal, pottering around the kitchen etc washed my hair one night while sausages in the oven.....without snacking - v strange!

might try that next time. also there's the difficulty of how do you stop the lettuce going lank between making and eating. i brought the ingredients with me today and made it at work but its a bit of a nuisance that.

still foggy here on the east coast at nearly 2 pm ...brrrrr

the faint shakey thing was the first thing i noticed when i started low carbing. i used to be shaking if i didnt get my lunch at twelve sharp. if it got delayed i worried i would faint but it doesnt happen at all now i low carb. some days i go past one oclock! woohooo much more sociable!
