  • Annika on the Swedish equivalent of the Daily Express Sorry this is a google translate version and I haven't cleaned it up. But I think you will get the drift.

You can compare it with people who work with torture during the war. The plaguing other people, on the orders. They dare not and will not refuse. When I saw that the old dietary advice causes disease, then I must refuse orders and go out with the opposite.

Called her opponent for the "mass murderer" on his blog.
    - I speak a little too rough sometimes. That by "mass murderer" I have erased, taken back and apologized for. But it is part of my personality as a whole to say such things sometimes. I am impulsive. It is also a condition, for I was going for too much before I began at this, I had enough abstained.

No Annika you were right those people who are continuing to propose that low fat diet are healthy are mass murderers.
They know the evidence does not support their claims yet they continue to spout medical dogma.

Those who think the contrary, think that I am a fanatic, of course. And I am well on my way. I'm obsessed with this issue. It is my life.
    Good on you Annika.
I'm with you all the way.

I just wish there were more health service professionals in the UK who were prepared to put their jobs on the line on behalf of the truth, though I do understand the constraints that mortgages/jobs/children/life circumstance place on people.

It's OK for me to spout my mouth off but as I'm not working and have nothing to lose it's no problem for me.

If anyone want's to take me to court then as far as I'm concerned they can bring it on.

I post in my own name and am easily found.

I do so specifically to invite anyone daft enough to sue me to try.

Ooo, this oriental food is weird - I've just eaten some "vegetarian beef jerky" which is actually made out of mushrooms :rotfl: Good with scrambled egg though!

Hey Sue, don't diss it 'till you've tried it :D

Not all the food I ordered has turned out as planned - the powdered soya milk is actually quite heavily sugared, so that will stay in the back of the cupboard for emergencies only... however, the majority of it looks good and after all £70 worth is enough to live on for 2 months. Lots of cheap shitake and oyster mushrooms, algae and tofu...

Hi Everyone did you all watch the goverment heath add this week ,I Wonder when they will stop trying to tell us to give up fat ? When they showed us foods to avoid they were all stuffed with sugar and high carb but the add goes on about giving up fat not sugar . I would like everyone thoughts on this one and espeacially Teds . By the way loved you last thread Ted .

Very true, Sue. After saying the other day that I hadn't been too naughty over Christmas, in the last few days I've had a panini, pizza, garlic bread, bruschetta and supper at a friend's, which involved mashed potatoes and carrots, and more rivers of wine. However, it was all very nice indeed. :D Still don't think I've gained any (will weigh tomorrow) but I must must must get firmly back on that wagon. Brunch today will be bacon, egg and mushrooms, I think. Dinner roast pork with vegetables.

Everyone back at work tomorrow? As I work for myself, at home, I've been doing some work over the past few days (drawback of being freelance with no regular salary - "HC, this is a tight deadline, but can you take on this job...?" "Yes, please!" So I was working New Year's Day. :( Rest of the family have been sleeping in till late, so I get a few hours of peace to concentrate.) School term starts on Tuesday :T:T:T. Nice to get back to normal.

When I've lost another (final, probably) stone, I'm going to treat myself to one of those spray fake tans. Not a la Jordan etc, but a nice light natural one to give me a teensy bit of colour on my skimmed-milk skin. So I have an incentive.

Great to see even more newcomers. Good luck all!

Oo, well done on your hard work HC! I've got a big interview tomorrow actually - a follow-up from the one I did in November. They called me over Yule and asked if I'd come back for some verbal / statistics aptitude tests :p. Then I'm due to start my new part-time job on Tuesday! Will be awful if I hand my notice in on my first day but, hey, gotta do what's best, right?

I was actually working this week as well (but not New Year Day). Was my last few days in the old job, and I was completely alone in the office :(
