Good luck for tomorrow, Badger_Lady! :T:T:T:T:T Things definitely sound as though they're looking up! Let us know how it goes. Hope they won't keep you waiting too long with the decision.

Talking of decisions, my DD heard on Christmas Eve that she hasn't made it to Oxford. :(:(:( What a horrible Christmas present! She was very disappointed, but she has four offers, and so will be going to Imperial in the autumn. My baby, in London! Other DD only got her app in just before the holidays, so she'll be spending the next few weeks in agonies of anticipation. I'm so glad I'm not a teenager. ;) But I've got nine months and then they'll both be gone. Sob! :(

Badgerlady good luck with the interview I've got my fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you:D

HC Shame your daughter didnt get Oxford but I'm sure she'll enjoy Imperial. As for you I can understand totally how you feel as my eldest left home for Leeds Uni a couple of years ago and even though she visits regularly it isnt the same as she's a grown up independent woman now:o

Well I have to say I've tried getting back fully with the programme but with the kids still at home and a massive mountain of christmas choccies still in the lounge I'm not doing very well. But on the plus side I am holding my own and not putting weight on.So I suppose thats the best I can hope for the moment.I have to be honest I'm not that bothered as I reckoned I could do with a spell of maintenance and this seems to be it:o

Hi Everyone did you all watch the goverment heath add this week ,I Wonder when they will stop trying to tell us to give up fat ? When they showed us foods to avoid they were all stuffed with sugar and high carb but the add goes on about giving up fat not sugar . I would like everyone thoughts on this one and espeacially Teds . By the way loved you last thread Ted .

I didn;t see the adverts Sue but just before school broke up the kids brought home leaflets from the school about eating healthily and it was focus on carbs,... full up on carbs.

I'm still helping at weightwatchers though i've now given the leader a four week notice that i'm leaving and they've just launched a new plan which is completely back to the low fat ethos....i can't tolerate the drivel anymore!

when will people twig that if you DO follow the low fat methods they just encourage you to buy MORE stuff than you need. 'hey i can eat two of these as they're low in points' yes but they're BOTH tasteless i want to scream!

my goodness i'm starting to sound like a convert....:rotfl:

    Hello lovelies :hello:

Sue - yes, totally agree those government ads are infuriating  As Gary Taubes says, if you tell people to give up fat, then the calorie deficit has to be made up from something else, ie carbs!! It is simply not possible to square the low fat message with everything else we know about the relationship between carbs and metabolic disorders ..................................and, r-e-l-a-x saz :D rant over:o:rotfl:

Pink - I do wonder sometimes whether some diets clubs encourage peeps to buy stuff they don't really need? But at least you've seen the light;)

Badger Lady - good luck with the interview and yes, you've got to do what's right - life's too short to do otherwise xx

Lesley - I wouldn't worry - you done brilliantly to not put weight on, you'll get there:)

HC - yes, back to work tomorrow, sigh :( I'm in denial big time, lol. Sorry DD didn't an offer from Oxford, but then again Imperial has an excellent track-record for sciences, so Oxford may have done her a favour indirectly:)

Shykins - we have dechristmassed the house too (well the tree which has got a stay of execution lol) and we were also saying how bare it now looks. Yes, definitely on for induction-ish tomorrow:D :rotfl:
    Aurora - yay! Let's go! :T

Right, I must away, a lovely roast pork dinner is awaiting Gilly Badger and me:)

Have a nice evening and much love to all
