My way is Atkins0 -
I fell off the wagon about 4 months ago, and have regained a stone thanks to lots of lovely bread dripping in butter. Were it not for the norovirus, the weight gain would have been considerably greater.
So please guys, lots of support, encouragement and tips, for I fear my addiction to the dreaded carbs has returned and is vengeful.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

so who is for atkins induction starting tomorrow??
x
Me. I weighed myself this mornng. I cant say the numbers out loud.Suffice to say I was qute shocked.
I did the old 'going on a diet so got to eat what's left in the house tonight' thing, last night. I was up half the night with a sore stomach and the runs.So I kinda got a head start with the weight loss, lol.
I've done Atkins before and lost 3 and a half stone but it was ages ago and I cant remember what I ate during induction other than bacon, sausage, egg, tuna and chicken so I'd be happy to read all your tips etc.
Good luck everyone.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Daily menus huh? OK, well today:
- Two poached eggs with black pepper for breakfast
[don't eat again before my interview at 1pm - creative minds work best hungry]
- Hotdog sausages and salad for lunch
- Protein shake at 5pm (soya milk, yoghurt, hemp protein & vanilla essence)
[not going to eat in the evenings]
My lodger has also lent me a book and DVD on Psychocalisthenics, which look interesting - lots of techniques for "thinking yourself fit"Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
lol alias i did the same other than the 1 piece of christmas pud which dh had better eat today!!!
i dont usually eat brekkie (yes i know bad for u blaah blaah but i hate it) i will prob have a HB egg around 10, then some cold meats and salad for lunch, tonight they have an asda curry but i will have green beans and prob some curry sauce if the carb count is reasonable, if not i will have the rest of the gammon
quick guide for anyone doing atkins induction eat freely of protein, 2 cups of salad and 1 cup of veggie (salad and veg off allowable list), up to 3 tbspns of cream, LOTS of water.... google it if u want more detail

Saz- yes absolutely they do encourage people to buy stuff they dont need. the number of times i've commented that their WW choc bars ahve the same points as a two finger kitkat which are half the price for twice as many and i get met with waffle about fibre being added..they taste dreadful but some people buy heaps of them every week! they encourage you to eat lots and lots of low cal stuf rather than just learning to restrict what you eat and stopping when you're full.
started taubes last night..emlightening but very heavy ( in both respects!) but hoping it will keep me on the straight and narrow for a few weeks...lol the exercise of lifting it will certainly help!
no idea what i'm having today....best get to shops!Credit Card debt £10247.17 1/1/20200 -
Hello lovelies :hello:
Urrghh.... work!
We won't be doing classic induction, coz we love our morning slice of flax bread too much - and I don't think it's on the allowed list... however, I do want to go hard core on veggies and limit them as much as I can for the next two weeks at least to try and kickstart the weightloss again.
I am between 3 and 4 pounds over what I was before xmas, which is kind of what I was allowing for, so what to get rid of that pronto and then another half stone to get me down to 9 stone. Well I can dream can't I?:rotfl:
Daisy - nice to see you:) Gravitytolls - best of luck, we can all help each other:)
More than happy to post daily menus, coz it helps me too. So.....
B: a cold sausage and a slice of flax bread with pate.
L: salad with some cubed cold beef and cheeseprobably the leftover roast pork and red cabbage from yesterday. I casseroled the red cabbage with a small amount of sugar before christmas and this is the last bit left. And I'm afraid the Old Styler in me would rather eat it than bin it:)
Right, I better get on with some work. Good luck everyone and have a great day
Much love,
