    Can I have butternut squash?

(I'm not really 'doing' Atkins, IPD etc., just counting carbs and sticking to fewer than 20g a day.)

I've Googled it, and some people say it's high in carbs, some say it's fine.

    Do you eat it?

I don't, but the IPD has a recipe for butternut squash soup which is okay for induction ;)

Yes, I saw that. Confusing, because it seems to be relatively high in carbs.

well if u are doing atkins induction then its a no, if u are just doing lowcarb then its not so bad.. seems a cup of it raw is around 14g carbs so if that fits into your daily allowance then go for it

had yummy M&S pork medallions last night but unfortunately the lemon souffle forced me to eat it .. i fought back but lost la la la

    A'ernoon everyone :hello: :D

Hope everyone's having a good day. Slow start here, was a really tough week for us both - I don't think either of us recovered from getting back so late after that gig on sunday night lol we're too old for that kind of thing now!:D

I made some instant flax bread earlier - gilly had a fried egg on his and i had a tin of sardines on mine - yum, yum, yum! AND i'm now managing to drink my tea with soy milk without gagging!

Think we're going to have steak for dins tonight. Just gonna stay in and flop infront of Strictly. I love that show!

Shykins hun it's too late for denials - we know you had wine last night;) Good for you!:D You deserve a treat hun.

Have a great Saturday everyone

    Much love,

OMG !!!! shykins has come over to the dark side - da da dahhhhh!!!!

great over here aint it lol

i used to use a can of kidney beans in a huge pot of chilli but since im being angelic these days i now use haricot beans instead - 1/3 less carbs but still get the texture
haricot beans are baked beans without the sauce
i love beans and pulses :(
