Oooh all this talk of wine has made me realise its FRIDAY and ITS HALF TERM NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!

That means I can have a voddie and coke tonight and I dont have to rush round like a headless chicken next week to get the kids out of the door by 9am!! Woooohooooo pj's till dinner I think:rotfl:

Tinks I love the egg custard recipe and might give it a go.But one quick question was looking on the splenda box and its pretty damn high in carbs.I thought sugar replacements were carb free?

Oh just thought I'd add that I had a curry for tea last night and rather than have rice thought I try the grated cauli.I've tried this before but as I use frozen cauli it tends to go soggy after cooking and its a messy job to grate it .But last night I grated it still frozen and it works a treat and not messy at all and then cooked it after grating. It wasn't messy at all and came out really well.If you're using frozen cauli its well worth a try

splenda is made from sugar, so it will always have high carbs.

but given that a huge box weighs about 125g, you'd never use so much as to be affected.

that said, sweeteners can stall some people, so you probably don't want to use it regularly ;)

I'd wondered about doing that (grating first, then cooking), so useful to know that it worked for you. How long did you cook it for once grated? Must have been just a minute or so?

Last time I did it I grated a raw fresh cauli and then sauteed it in some butter. Came out good too:)
