It's a Braun Multiquick Professional - it cost me about £70 about 5 years ago, and I love it.

Just looking for a pic of the quiche - I have one somewhere ;)

That quiche looks delish, Tinkerbell. I can't believe how well mine came out too. My expectations were low, to be honest. (So many calories in almonds, though :() Glad you posted a pic, as I can't work Photobucket :o

Skykins, the almond pastry is buttery and crumbly and so lovely. Doesn't taste of almonds at all - and, like Tink, I think I prefer it to normal pastry, which can be a bit stodgy and bland - or perhaps that's just my cooking. I love the idea of putting a little Parmesan in it; I shall try that next time.

I daren't make a large one. It's so delicious that the - ahem - portion control section of my brain might get rendered impotent by my appetite...;)

I have this mini chopper (it's so fab - just the right size), a Dualit hand mixer and a smoothie maker/blender. I don't really need anything else. I think I shall throw out my huge food processor - I never use it and it takes up so much room in the cupboard.

OK experts, I need your help with all these eggs my hens keep laying! I get two a day, but I'm absolutely rubbish at cooking them or making them into anything, except:
    - Fried egg
    - Hard boiled egg (which only works if I leave them a few days first)

I'm incapable of poaching, omeletting, scrambling... help!

omelette is simple, and if it goes wrong you have scrambled egg.

    here's how i do it:

    2 eggs
about a tbsp double cream (or a substitute)
    freshly milled black pepper

    whip up with a fork

knob of butter in a small frying pan on medium high heat

this bit is important - DO NOT POUR THE EGGS INTO THE PAN UNTIL THE BUTTER GOES QUIET

once in, allow a few seconds before gently pushing the cooked edges into the middle of the pan, and letting the uncooked egg run into the gaps. you might need to roll the pan to get the egg into the gaps. do this all the way around until there's no more running egg

allow a few seconds to set and add your fillings (use your imagination there)

flip one half over the other and out onto a plate.

same principle for scrambled eggs, except you want a slightly cooler pan. don't wait for the butter to melt completely before adding the eggs, and don't stop mixing until it's set as much as you like it.

    hope this helps
