Part 2 of this Steven Gundry talk explains the hormone process that's involved in stalling. It's really worth understanding that this is a natural process and know you just have to keep going on doing what you know to be right.

Thanks ted I definitely want to have a look at this - really sounds like it could apply to my situation:o I can't listen to it now because I'm at work, annoyingly.

And well done to HC and Badger Lady on the loss - that's fantastic!! :j:T:j:T

    Much love,

During that 24 hour stretch I treated myself to... 1 whole boiled egg!

i know your doing the IF but surely 1 boiled egg in a 24 hour just isnt a healthy amount of food

Daisy I agree one boiled egg in a 24hr period doesnt sound sufficient and nor does it go in with the low carb eatin plan as it sounds to me that you are taking your body to the point just before it goes into starvation mode to help weight loss and that sounds a rather dangerous thing to do to me as you are playing with the bodys metabolism on a regular basis and that cant help but end in disaster.Teds way was to fast occasionally but you are doing it regularly and I can only think this will eventually catch up with you as the body has a nasty way of adjusting to even the oddest eating pattern.

This isnt an attack merely an observation and feel free to correct me as I could be wrong

These further interviews are also interesting. They are from a Diabetes website but because they are about controlling insulin levels by diet they also apply to anyone using low carb to lose weight.

Thanks for these, Ted. I shall be especially interested in the interviews, as my OH is going for a fasting blood test next week. He has several symptoms that seem to add up to the big D. :(
  • Hi HC :hello:

Sorry to hear about your OH. Is he low carbing with you now?

Just wanted to say that I tried that lemon souffle omelette the other night, and WOW - it's gorgeous. So thanks for posting it!

    Hi Tink

Might be worrying about nothing: adding two and two and making five. Have to wait and see.

Glad you liked the lemon souffle omelette!

I'm going to try your quiche recipe today. A mini-one, I think - I'll try with a quarter recipe and see if that's right for my little tins.

I'm gonna make a HUGE quiche this weekend - saves me cooking for every meal ;)

It's so easy, and I'm sure it will be fine in smaller tins.
