i found this daisy no idea what its like tho sorry. so let us all know if u make it

    Baked Egg Custard
    2 eggs. beaten
    2 teas Splenda
    1 teas vanilla
1 c half and half (could use watered downdouble cream for this bit i guess)

Put all together. Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon on top. Put in your microwave on 50% power for 6-8 minutes... can be eaten hot or cold

cant u tell i am laying in bed today cos i been answering all these posts lol

tried this tonight - not really good actually
wasnt solid enough - too sloppy and scrambled eggy
i did water down the cream - used about 3/4 of a cup cream and 1/4 water but would possible use 1/2 cup cream and 1/4 water or maybe just 3/4 cup of cream

didnt touch my egg custard craving tho :( - no slight on you shykins just reporting back for others thx for finding it for me anyhow xx

editted to add - dont think microwaving it helped - would possibly been better in the oven in a long slow cook ??

Daisy, can't you just make custard the usual way (Gary Rhodes' recipe is nice), but using Splenda instead of sugar?

Or perhaps see Tinkerbell's post earlier this afternoon?

When you need custard, nothing else will do, I know!

Daisy - my recipe works - it's tried and tested ;)

I think it's the extra yolks - I can't see how 2 whole eggs would make that much liquid 'set'.
