    Talking of wine, I haven't had any for nearly 5 weeks! :eek: God only knows how I'm managing it. (It helps to keep the bottles in the garage, well out of reach, I find ;).)

    Daisy, I had a similar dinner to you this evening - and it was delicious!

    B: none :o
    L: green salad with chicken, bacon, feta and Caesar dressing
    D: chicken in a sauce made with spring onions, garlic, lemon juice, sherry, Parmesan and loads of double cream, asparagus

    Ah, Skykins, it was only 5ml of sherry - and I reduced it to almost nothing. And at least I didn't have a swig from the bottle! :D I do find it very hard not to cook with wine or sherry - I put it in almost everything! ("I love cooking with wine - sometimes I even put some in the food...")

    woohooo Its Friday!!!!!!!

    That means its Voddie and Coke night:rotfl:

    Just the one mind and purely for medicinal purposes:D

    I've decided I might need a new set of scales as since I whizzed them the length of the landing they've been a little touchy and this week my weight was coming down at a rather pleasing rate of 1lb a day and then hubby shifted them and now they are weighing me 10lbs heavier!!But I took it calmly this time and didnt vent my fury on them:D But I think I might need some new ones and maybe heavier ones might be a good idea as then I cant chuck them as far when I get upset:rotfl:

    One problem we have is that OH is used to taking a sandwich to work, but has been taking a salad all this week. (hes lost 4lb). There's nowhere to heat food in the short lunch they have so what alternatives are there for him.

    I read somewhere that you can eat totillas? Surely that isnt right as arent they full of carbs arent they?

    you can get low carb tortillas but they're still quite high in carbs - 8g each i think.

    You can make "oopsies" if you are desperate for a bread alternative (the recipe will come up if you do a search) but they can be a bit of an aquired taste, and not carb free either.

    Can you get hold of a hot food flask? i know that lakeland does them. You can then take hot lunches in - soups, stews, chillis etc. All of our evening left overs go in to work the next day as lunch! Much more interesting than salad everyday, especially as it gets colder.
    My name is Paula and I am a low carber :kiss: 1/6/08-83kg : 1/5/10-57kg :kiss: (Atkins/IPD) 24/1/13 - 69kg! Yikes!:cry::cry:

    tortillas are a huge no - where did you read that?
