Can you get flaxseed from a supermarket?

I got mine from Sainsbury's today - it's next to the gluten-free flour etc.

Thanks for that. Can you get flaxseed from a supermarket? Otherwise Ill try Graves or Boots health shop in Newcastle on friday.
You are best off getting a3kg bag of whole flax from a SUMA wholefood shop and grinding up in an electric coffee mill.

It should be about £5 for the 3kg linseed roughly 50p for 500g
not the silly money Julian Graves charges linusit Premium Vitality Assured Organic Ground Flaxseed 450g Price & Information 450 g - Price: £4.79

ravy u are right u maybe shouldnt be having these things but remember some of us are maintaining, its also the case that its better to have somethnig like this then splurging on the 'real' stuff

i seem to remember the bread works out at 3carbs a slice and the instant bread is approx 11carbs in total... oh and dont worry about the calories its te carbs remember!!!

i did see some flax AND almond in tescos the other day was near all the organic/gluten free stuff... i use my da vinci syrups in the muffins etc for a different taste,, i did have a recipe for a flax cookie will find it out tomorrow

yes i have had the odd cup of highlights and as i usually have it weak its even lower in carbs then and makes a nice change

personally i def think the low carb bread i make from almond flour and the choccie pudding has a place in my woe - its not something i have all the time and if it stops you from having proper toast or a real choccie dessert then its all good imo - nobody can be perfectly low carb ALL the time can they ?

down to the serious stuff .....
brekkie - bacon egg and lc toast - almond bread not proper lc bread if you get me
lunch - pate and lc toast - had 15 mins to change prepare the room for a client and eat lunch - was this or crackers !!
dinner - lc sausages in onion gravy ( about a quater of onion between 2 of us ) with cabbage beans and leeks with a tiny portion of carrots
    no milk again today

will have a snack later as im off to body pump shortly but dont know what it will be !!
