Last night I made Faux Mash (cauliflower puree with cream and butter) from the IPD book, since I was serving roast potatoes to the rest of the family. (sob!)
Before dinner, I gave DD1 a taste of it, without her knowing what it was, and she guessed mashed potato with cheese or cream cheese in it - then (as she's a teenager who watches her figure like a hawk and rarely eats potatoes) made me make some more so she could have some with dinner too.
DD2 knew what it was, but closed her eyes in bliss as she tasted it.
Highly recommended, if anyone's not given it a go.
Daisy - I just noticed your sig: you're doing fantastically well in bringing down your mortgage! :T0 -
I have just fallen off the wagon big time.
The good news is that I didn't enjoy the muffin, sandwiches, choc cake and choc biscuits as much as I thought I would.
The bad news is that saz will chop me into tiny pieces.
This is my first non-holiday slip in the whole time I've been on this.
Saz will tell you how good I am.
If she's not too busy building a fire to flame me over.
xxGirls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.
I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else0 -

Try making a fish pie with it
Lots of fish, a nice cream and herb sauce, spinach and hardboiled eggs topped with cauli mash and baked
It's wonderful.0 -

Oh Gilly you sound just like my hubby. He pulls tricks like this regularly then wonders when he gets on the scales why he hasn't lost any weight
Dont beat yourself up too badly about it as its just a blip.Draw a line under it and move on is what I say life is too short for guilt
Well as predicted my weight has been on the increase this week due to the impending arrival of AF.Even though its annoying at least I can console myself with the fact I havent cheated and it must be water retention
Shykins I agree mashed cauli doesnt float my boat either.I much prefer the idea of the choccy cookies you were baking a couple of days ago:D
