tinkerbell84 wrote: »Daisy - your carbs probably are a bit high. 5 cups of tea with SS milk - SS milk is very high in carbs and you're probably having at least 20mls per tea. That adds up. Full fat milk would be better, or single cream, or you could mix half double cream with full fat milk and just use a drop.
Can't you swap the crackers for something? almost half your daily carbs are coming from them!

Sorry to bang on about Brussels sprouts again
but I've just had a look at the 'official' Atkins carb counter and that too says 6 sprouts = 7.6 net carbs. (6 sprouts??? Hardly worth it!)
Just felt like a whinge. How am I going to get through winter without my regular sprout fix? :eek:0 -
No, I'm sorry - I won't forgoe sprouts on Christmas day! Can live without them until then though...
This month is going to be pretty bad, I've got parties twice a week now until January  This weekend is a housewarming for my new lodger, so I've got a cocktail fountain, lager kegs and a case of rather lovely wine. I will stick to neat vodka, though
Then on Sunday my hens are arriving, so I can start eating eggs regularly, fingers crossed. I also need to look back through this thread to check out the intermittent fasting again... I was supposed to start on Monday but haven't had the time to research!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

what are your views on turnips ?
I didn't find beetroot stopped weight loss or have since caused weight gain. So If I some turnips in the garden I would be eating them now, with butter and maybe some ground flaxseed to add some fat/fibre and further reduce GL.My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

hmm see my counter says 4.5 per 100g for brussels and 3.06 for turnips, cant see me going without my sprouts cos i love them (ok yes am weird i know lol)
dont forget if some of u are on atkins induction u could move onto OWL now and add in a few more carbs . personally i would make sure the extras are veggies
tinkerbell makes a good point about the milk daisy if u dont get weight loss of being good ie no wine etc its something u may have to think about giving up along with the crackers
just had a cup of decaff twinings coffee with one of my cookes,, YUMMMMM juist like old times coffee and biscuit in the afternoon lol

wow, just had a lovely, lovely pizza.......
without a base :rotfl: .
Pour a layer of tomato pizza base over a round oven pan.
Top with mozzeralla grated cheese.
Then pizza toppings (mushrooms ect) and push them down into the base slightly.
Then add another layer of tomato pizza base.
And then a layer of parmasan cheese.
finish with pizza herbs and pepper.
bake for 20 mins approx , gas 6.
I am wondering how the base would be if I blended some soya flour into it ?
Because when I dished it up , it was a bit loose, but heaven to eat.Kindness costs nothing0
