Ted, maybe I am diabetic . I've never been tested! You just don't tend to know, unless you have a symptom that sends you to the doc, do you? One of my brothers is diabetic, the other pre-diabetic. Scary, scary!

Shykins, you're quite right as usual. But I was just sitting here at my laptop yearning - nay, drooling - for an M&S BLT.

In the end, I went shopping* and didn't get around to having any lunch at all.

I'm making up for it this evening though, with good meaty sausages, creamed spinach, and a Portabella mushroom stuffed with goat's cheese, garlic, spring onions, and with chives and crispy crumbled bacon sprinkled on the top. :j

    * I'm self-employed and work at home, in case you thought I was a lazy good-for-nothing. :o

oh major numb brain here today - otherwise known as a time management course
    deadly dull yawn yawn

chicken breast in creme fraiche with mushrooms served with braised cabbage and carrots
lunch was tricky - huge university refectory but struggled to find anything to eat
finally cobbled together some salad and grated cheese
they had a lovely salad bar but everything was rice pasta or noodles covered with dressings and sauces
sure it would have been cheaper to just put out all the individual components - needless to say after a horrid journey home through unknown motorways at a rush hour i have no knowledge of and a colleague wincing everytime i braked - yes i bloody well am sinking an extremely large glass of wine

i am beginning to resign myself to the possibility i may have to buy some size 14s as nothing is happening
yes i realise it may be my wine or my tweaks - which ive mostly stopped tho ( but not the wine ) but really cannot be arsed right now as its just completely depressing

everyone whos doing well - keep on doing it and lose my share too please - i think you are all doing great xxx

hey thats great :) i went from size 14 to size12 when i first started low carbing - then after my TT i was actually able to buy some white skinnys in a size 10 and they looked amazing
since then everything has gone downhill - and now cant even get in my regular size 12 jeans
i am wearing a huge baggy pair of boyfriend fit size 14s that i bought yonks ago and so nearly threw out at the beginning of the year as they looked ridiculous
i tried some next size 12 skinnys on at the weekend and couldnt get them past my knees - like i said soooooo depressing
i hate how i look so much right now

Hi daisy i would be dying if i ever got into a size 10 a good friend once said to me only buy clothes that fit as they allways make you look slimmer i cut all size labels out of my clothes and undies as soon as they hit the house ,I think us women have such a hang up on our size labels ,guys dont do this XX
  • Dr Davis on Jimmy Moore this is the first part of a 2 part audio interview. This part only deals in passing with the benefits of avoiding wheat/corn/grains. But there is a good section on vitamin d which I hope you will listen to carefully so you understand better how this affects your insulin resistance.
Do remember though he is talking about the Wisconsin experience and that is about the same level as Madrid for sunshine and therefore a much higher background level of UVB than here at latitude 51-54N.

I should have mentioned it takes about half an hour so do allow sufficient time and although you may find Jimmy Moore a little irritating do stick with it for the information Dr Davis provides.

daisy i am not sure whether to kick yr bum or to sympathise,,,, u are eating cos u are depressed but u are depressed partly cos u are eating and gaining ...so come on put a stop to this, eat clean and get rid of one of the things making u down... u KNOW u can do this so DO IT!!!... ooops i kicked yr bum ;)

hmm sue never used coconut in a block, could u add it to stir frys it would melt down i assume and if u added curry it would be like a thai curry i guess.. sorry not terribly useful am i, i assume if u add water it would make coconut milk too

had some more roasted marrow and herbs etc tonight, i am really liking it like this (lol cant u tell i had it 2 days running).... have resisted eating a cookie today as they are supposed to be for my son
