Hi everyone! After my first week back on the wagon I'm half a stone down again! Whoop whoop! I don't think I'm meant to be any smaller than I am now, but I feel good so I'll stick to the WOE so I stay like this! My trousers are hanging off me, they were snug a couple of weeks ago!
I did cheat a little at the weekend, chocolate ice cream and a galaxy caramel cake bar but it hasn't had any majorly bad effects. I think I'm going to have to accept that I can't resist sweet treats all the time so if I stick to having a little sweet treat on a weekend I'll be able to stick to it during the week. Like you were saying, you have to tweak it to suit you!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

when i am maintaining i stick to it during the week and treat at weekend and that works for me, course u have to be able to stop the treats during the week and not everyon can

Takes about 10 mins to make (including cooking). not worked out carbs yet, cos I'm still devouring it, but here's the recipe:
4 tbsp ground almonds
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 - 1.5 tbsp splenda
2 tbsp pure cocoa powder
mix dry ingredients together in a 1 pint microwavable bowl or jug
add 1 egg and beat together
add 1 tbsp double cream and 2 tbsp water and a splash of vanilla extract and mix
add 2 tbsp oil (i use groundnut but repeseed would work too. don't use olive oil!) and mix until combined
bung in microwave and nuke on full power for 3 minutes.
Leave to stand for a minute or so before eating with cold thick cream.
It's quite rich. 1 mixture serves 2 or 1, depending on your need for chocolate (I'm premenstual and my body has been screaming for dark chocolate all day, so this is proving a good alternative).
ive just made this and OMG !!!! it is divine - really and truly scrumptious
hub will think hes in heaven later - i bought a reduced tub of clotted cream at weekend and the strawberries didnt really do it justice but this certainly will !!!!:j MFi3 wannabee :j

i dont know why i moan really - i do have my wine at the weekend tho i have cut it down a bit
i also have a satsuma type thing most days and have a couple of crackers most days too
im just not as disciplined as some and need to kind of do it my way - maybe my way is just a bit too far off to actually lose any weight ?:j MFi3 wannabee :j

daisy hun, i didn't lose anything for weeks. I know it's disheartening, but as others have said it's probably just a case of tweaking until you get the right balance for you. Some things are ok for some people to eat, but not others. Although it's allowed on the plan i'm doing, I realised milk was making me stall - even tho I wasn't having all that much - and now I've cut it out it seems to have helped. Maybe it's just a question of having a lower carb type of fruit or cracker?
big hugs,

yup i know - just having a whinge really
1/2 a stone in a week ?? im just jealous - im lucky if i can lose half a pound in a week !! lol
ill keep plodding away at a low carb style of eating keep my exercise up and hope that slowly slowly it goes
i couldnt give up milk - no way - we did have the lactofree milk when we started lc'ing as its lower in carbs but its just too expensive now
fruit wise its as i say a small piece of citrus fruit most days along with strawberries and cream some days - not everyday by any means
crackers - about 4g carbs each and i make sure to have lots of butter on them to keep them high fat to reduce the carb effect
im not eating many nuts at all - which stall some ppl
diary - im watching how much cheese im eating and is a lot less than previously
mayo is down too - having good olive oil and lemon dressing instead mostly
i do have some beans maybe once a week - just plain haricot beans
oh well - keep plodding on
- tho as mentioned b4 im still not sure if what i see in the mirror sometimes isnt still post operative swelling from my TT as it can last up t a year - i did 2 hard classes yesterday after having not done any exercise for 3 days due to work and this morning was up a pound on the scales and looking very round and bloated so who knows
thanks for listening guys xxxx:j MFi3 wannabee :j
