sue have looked everywhere for that recipe but cannot find it sorry but as i said it really was the most disgusting thing i have ever tasted, threw it out for birds and even they wouldnt eat it lol
i think u are best to use the soy in a mix with other flours ie almond, co!!!! etc cos it has such a strong taste and is very salty

In reply to a question on another forum I have set out the reasons why I think (but cannot prove) I have found using Dr D's plan so easy and successful and suggest possible reasons why others who are low carbing but not seeing the same effortless weight loss week after week that I enjoyed may be missing out by not using my (not so) secret weapons. Ted, oh master of the scientific links, do you have a serious document somewhere that describes how a low-carb diet can help cholesterol levels?
My Mum was so impressed when she saw the "new me" at the weekend, she's been asking questions, but is dubious about re-starting on all the foods she's been carefully avoiding due to high cholesterol... She needs something she can really take seriously and ideally discuss with medical professionals!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Hi guys :hello:
Nope, there's no getting around it, I'm not a fan of Mondays lol. Feeling half dead this morning, even though I had the most wonderfully chilled-out weekend. Work is definitely overrated! Note to self: must win lottery this week
Anyway the good news is, having cut out milk last week, I have lost another poundI know a pound isn't much, but I'm just glad to be heading in the downward direction again. Also, I've been more diligent with getting through 2 litres of water every day and I reckon that must be helping also. Really gonna try and stick with that this week too.
Ted, I really envy you being able to drink wine and not put on weight! I daren't try it lol - even with only the occasional lapse I am finding it a challenge to keep the weight coming off. In fact, if anything I think I am becoming more sensitive to alcohol, the cheeky vodka and soda I was going to have on Friday night I finally had last night and I struggled to get through it lol:o:D So maybe best for me if I just try to do without for the time being...
I have looked at your post on the other forum and it reminds me that I will be conducting an audit of Mr Badger's and my own supplement intake, especially now that we are heading into autumn and winter. The past few months have been a bit hectic, one way or another, but now that stuff is settling down I'll have more time to look into the whole supplements thing.
And speaking of my monochromatic o/h - Mr Badger has got a week off again next week! Alright for some, innit!:D But I have to nip out to H&B this afternoon to buy some compressed hamster bedding so he'll have a supply while he's on holiday. Can't have him going without now can we?;):D
Right, I guess I better get on... I have salad and some cold sliced beef with me for lunch. Pork chops and veggies for dins tonight I think.
Have a good day everyone
Much love to everyone,

:j Goodmorning everyone wow what a weekend summer came at last , went to a freinds house friday had a great meal and dip in there hot tub , then went for a chinease saturday chrispy duck yummy friends kept trying to give me my share of pancakes i was very good till i got home then tried to get hand in biscuit barrell why ? hubby caught me and managed to seperate me from hobnob !! THanks for looking for that recipee Shykins I will try the pastry one from Atkins ,i have allways craved salty foods i have low preisure doctors often ask me if i eat enough salt . As to all the comments on jelly i allways say to my sons if im ever ill and dying on a hospital bed DO NOT EVER FEED ME JELLY OR MASHED POTATOE I HATE BOTH and have told them i will blow it back at them so i think for me the sugar free stuff can stay on the supermarket shelf for now !!0

HC why dont u have some tonic or something for a treat at the weekend asda do a lovely cranbery flavour one
the thing with booxe and other treats is that u have to make the choice do u want to lose weight more or do u want the treats, depending on where u are in your diet and how much u have to loose u may decide a few treats are fine.... when i was in my major losing session i didnt have any treats, booze etc for over 6months even on my bday, christmas etc boy was i determined then .. lol could do with that attitude again now

Sazzy I dont work but hate Mondays:o
Its Monday so its got to be weigh in day and I'm delighted this week as I've shifted another 4lbs.Only 3lb off my second stone now:D
As for the alcohol debate I have vodka and diet coke(yes I know but I like it) and dont seem to put weight on the day after. But its just the occasional voddie and not a real session cos then I think I would put weight on.I think the whole weight loss issue is down to what works with your body
As I've said before I have the view that low carbing is a personal eating plan and you have to tweak it to suit yourself as some people have to avoid dairy or they stall but some can eat bucketloads of dairy and the weight falls off them.I know I cant eat yoghurt otherwise I stall but I know of others on this thread that eat yoghurt no problems
Ted my hubbie says if you want another willing guinea pig in your research over whether alcohol increases weight he's your man.Hey what a guy :rotfl:

weight-loss programmes on lipid-based cardiovascular
risk factors is a recent paper that shows the Atkins (low-carbohydrate) and Weight Watchers diets were followed by marked reductions in plasma TAG (–38·2 % and –22·6 % at 6 months respectively, P < 0·01). These latter two diets were associated with an increase in LDL particle size, a change that has been linked to reduced CVD risk.
You may find the full text of this paper interesting.
As I doubt your doctor would be bothered to read the full text of Kendrick book The Great Cholesterol Con I think you should save your money, but get a copy for yourself and read it and then pass it on to someone who will read it. this is a reasonable review of the book and it may be worth giving a print of this to your GP
