still sticking to IF here but as i had a migraine yesterday i havent really eaten much the last couple days, bad i know
But you must remember if your metabolism goes into starvation mode because you have eaten too little, it becomes virtually impossible to lose weight because every single calorie you consume will either be used or stored.
You really need your body to think that there is always more food available so it can happily squander some calories down the loo or through your sweat/breath. Thats why I was losing weight while I was eating more calories each day than required for basal metabolism. When I IF I drink V8, or tomato juice, One glass for breakfast one midday one in the afternoon and then I have a proper evening meal so I've not had an empty stomach at any point in the day.
I suppose you could say it's not much of a fast but it works. It's fewer calories than a proper breakfast/lunch and it doesn't put the metabolism into SAVE SAVE SAVE mode.My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Hi all!
Sorry to hear that you've been feeling down Shykins, glad that you're back with us now!
I made the IPD 'fake' pizza tonight, it was... erm...interesting. Lets just say that Pizza Hut has nothing to worry about! LOL! Ah well, I'm enjoying the experimentation, although it does take up a lot of time! Must organise myself better!
Am I the only one who seems to have culinary disasters? Please share your experiments gone wrong! I'll share my favourite disaster- I tried to make chocolate and almond cookies using chocolate protein shake. I was a bit heavy handed on the baking powder and the mixture ended up sitting for a while before I baked the cookies, they came out the size of scones and all shiny and plasticy looking! They also took ages to chew! You'd have burned off about 300 calories eating a whole one they were that difficult to eat! Needless to say, they went in the bin!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Can anyone help with sundried tomatoes?
I bought a little pot of Waitrose Sun-ripened tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella salad from the deli (also contains pine nuts) as a treat, assuming it would be OK carb-wise.
I can't find this particular brand on Food Focus, but there are several other entries for sundried/sun-ripened tomatoes and they all seem to be between 6 and 15g carb per 100g, which is rather more than I thought.
Can anyone advise? Should I pick out the mozzarella only?
Thank you!0
