Thankyou for the encouragement, i felt i had to be honest with myselfto move on and theres nothing like putting it in print to do that cos no matter what i tell myself the scales and mirror dont lie (damn them lol ) about running out of letters for your bra , it doesnt leave you much option believe me next bra size for me would have been called scaffolding  :rotfl: . wtg on the 3 stone you have lost so far thats amazing.safc forever

Evening all,
I've just spent ages reading through this thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=968525
It's full of awesome crafty ideas for Christmas presents- very MSE! I know it's a bit early - however making things yourself (esp for a large family) will take quite a bit of time! A MSE Christmas is ideal for me as I'll be doing my masters from August so I'm not going to be working. I highly recommend that you guys take a look. There's some great photo samples on there as well! I particulary like the personalised diaries and door hangers.
Lainy - you and me both! I despise cleaning - which is surprising really given that my mum is neurotic. Her house constantly looks like a show home (she frequently pulls out all the stuff in her cupboards and cleans them out, cleans the skirting boards AND washes the steps OUTSIDE the house! ha! That's what rains for :rotfl: ) When people visit they ask if she actually lives there!
I always used to say that when I was rich I was going to have cleaners - however over the past few months I've become addicted to this website and in the event that I could afford cleaners I'd be thinking "That's X amount of pounds over a year  - hmm amount of money could buy me X or earn me Y amount of pounds interest in a savings account"I could just invite my mum over frequently and get my place cleaned for free! LOL!
LemonDrop - you are clearly much more sensible than I am. The MINUTE I reach my target weight I'll be off to the shops spending a fortune! Until that time comes I plan to survive on the same old outfits - I must lose weight ASAP!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
lemondrop - it's okay not to like clothes you know! thats why god decided that tesco was going to start selling cheap clothes that you can just chuck in the trolley whilst doing the food shop. There's no real need to ever have to go to the 'local megaplex whining child hell centre' ever again.
Thank you god.0 -
hey guys!
I did write a long post but its gone and i cant be arsed to write it again.
Does anyone know the calories in a jumbo battered sausage and chips with a small glass of wine and coke?0 -

Thankyou, but its not as good as it sounds, as I'm going on my weight in labour :rotfl: . 8lbs9 was my DS and then lots more was the rest of it! I didn't weigh myself for a while afterwards, so I use that one - cheating I know!£2008 in 2008 member 552 £1947 to go! (started 20/1/08) Total wins £61

Hello
Thank **** it's Friday! This week feels like it had a day too many - anyone else get weeks when it feels like Tuesday on Monday and carries on in the same vein until you feel like you're working at the weekend on Friday? Well, that's the sort of week I've had! :rotfl:
I'm looking forward to the weekend though - DH and I are off to London. We're going to see Hancock at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill (and celeb spotting before and after!), then on Sunday morning we'll be cheering on the runners in the London 10k.
Then the following Saturday we're going to France for a week - this will be my first holiday in what seems like ages and I really feel like I need it.
Re the clothes buying problem - if you've got a lot of weight to lose, there comes a point where you have to buy new clothes even if you haven't got to target. I'm pretty good with a sewing machine and managed to take clothes in as I was losing weight, but there's only so much you can do. I had a wedding to go to when I'd lost 3 stone, and had absolutely nothing suitable, so I bought 2 outfits, only to give them to a charity shop 6 months later, having been worn once. (I'm trying to forget that they would fit me again now).
This weekend will present some challenges food wise, so I'm going to be as sensible as I can, and hopefully do enough walking to counteract any damage - that's the plan anyway.
Have a great weekend everybody.

Vix - sorry, no idea about the battered sausage etc, not something I eat. Is this something you're planning to consume, or are you worrying about it after the fact!? :rotfl:
p.s. do you mix the wine and coke together?

well i have done nothing today apart from put my adsa shopping away which i got delivered , the deliverys are good in oneway because i dont see all the stuff i shouldnt have but the down side is its a day less out and as i dont go out very much it would be a bonus.
my hoover has isnt working properly as i have throw away the filter by accident (honestly) and i cant seem to get one i typed it in google and ebay but no luck its an upright hoover dustmanager dm4493 if anyone knows where i could get filters for it i would be grateful.

i had a neighbour whos home was like a show home too , she'd invite you round for a cuppa and then sit on the edge of her seat till you drank it , then she jump up go straight into the kitchen and wash , dry and put it away:eek: .
As for the male cleanersthey'd be my new candy (for my eyes:rotfl: ) so they'd stop me spending thousands with cadburys :rotfl: so thats definately a good mse idea i think :rotfl: .
Lemondrop
i did the same thing , i was 21st when i went into labour with my son (9lb 9.5oz) , i had to stay in hospital for 2 weeks due to complications on the day i left i got weighed and was 18st 8lb , i think for the pain we go through we deserve to say it was weightloss.
Loislane
Totally know what you mean about extra days in the week , i lose track totally when the kids are off school.
Hope you have a great time in London . My son went to see Hancock he said it was fantastic and very funny.safc forever
