Victory - how's the hair this monrning??
scarecrow was being bandied about a lot this morning:rotfl: :rotfl: went to the hairdressers this morning at 9am to show them what a disaster I had for a head:rotfl: she showed me a few tips and tricks, did it for me in 5 mins and I look fab again:D so later after the shower I am going to do as she said and if it goes as bad as this morning will be back there again tomorrow at 9am:D
must be good because the neighbour just knocked the door and said she loved my new cut and where did I get it(she had seen me in the garden:D ) it does look fab but I have not got Posh's money to have a hair dresser attached to me at all times:rotfl: :rotfl: it was not a cheap cut cost £22, looks fab but fails with me because I have all the gadgets just don't know how to use them and it is not a leave and dry haircut:rolleyes: try, try and try again this evening, it can't be any worse than the pathetic attempt I gave it this morning:rotfl: :rotfl: when I go on my hols on thursday I am planning to spend 92% in the sea so will not have to do the hair until night-time, then I shall go out only under darkness:rotfl: :rotfl:

OMG BAILS!!!!! I have saved that link. i am in the happy place now . . . .

had a FANTASTIC weekend in Scarborough, no major disasters, managed everything really well and had tons of fun. Had luscious sw persian curry but also other not so sw things. Really ought to pull finger out but when faced with something nice i find it hard to think about weight loss and just go for it. Sat night was terrific, sitting in the shadow of the castle in the moonlight watching the boys play. V amusing - first game was 'armoured chicken'; 2 tinned up lads run headlong at each other for a midair collision. The game stops when one of them gives in and admits that it hurts. Being ubermacho boys, this took a long time. second up was battering each other with duct tape gladiator type sticks. OH was up against Jack who opened up by bellowing 'no head shots' and promptly whacked him full force in the pods. I laughed so hard I was nearly sick. Of course I administered plenty of sympathy too. Even more sympathy was required when OH was being hairbrush-spanked by some of the girls and Jack came over and kicked him in the wotsits for a second time. Apparently it was for my benefit 'to stop him flirting so outrageously with all the other girls.' SO we switched to singing silly songs instead, which included one called moon chavs( http://www.jayforeman.co.uk/lyrics/moonchavs/) which you can find on youtube if you want to hear it. thanks for the luck for this afternoon too, will post later . . .

thanks for the tip ajax, it's actually in batley, not ilkley. glad to hear everyone had a fun weekend. Good luck with that styling victory! and ll you are very dirty indeed. Not even I go for faggots. Although i used to really like tinned campbells meatballs served with instant mash. . . . .

Great to see you Seren, and to finally have someone going GL too! Which book did you get?
Raph, I think BB was making a joke about you eating her (Bbq)...
Great you had such a fab weekend KPC, let us know how you get on.
Sorry for any gains, and to Granny for getting 'it's the school hols so obviously time to get ill' syndrome (I know it well, in fact it's how I failed to realise I was so poorly for so long ) and well done to all maintainers/ losers :D

    Oi!!

Actually they said 'Well done you've lost 2.2 lbs this week' :p:D
:rotfl: what jolly nice scales, they must really lurrrrve you:D .
Hey seren, good to hear from you. Bummer about having to reapply for your job: employers certainly know how to crank up staff stress levels!
The GL sounds a good plan: bails is into that. Keep us posted. Really sorry re the hen weekend - how gutting. Hope you feel better soon.
Granny - typical end of term itis by the sound of it. I've lost count of how many times my lodger has become ill first day of the school hols. But very good news that dispite this, you feel a resurgance of WL enthusiam. Maybe you will find you'll loose in blocks, then main tain for ages, then, when more rested loose a bt more. It will take longer than you would have liked but over 2 years you'll have got there and it will be sutainable becasue you'll have got ther slowly and managed treat and maintaining.
Suggs - good luck for friday. If it is all muscle that is really really good!
Laine - yes the heat at night is grim isn't it - we're suffering too.

I thought I was pretty wonderful today: been into work (had to go inyesterday too) on my day off and instead of buying a packet of biscuits to keep me going, I bought a pkt of sunflower seeds. Of course when I looked at stats and saw how many calories, they are the same as a pkt of biscuits:eek: . However I have reminded my self that they are full of 'healthy' fats, not sugary mush. So I feel saintly:A .
I also feel worthy of much praise by sorting out some of OH dire financial affairs: just got a council tax rebate of £1,300:j :j :j . Humungous effort on my part and in recognition he is now my slave for the day :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

but as you say, very very different value for your calories! Well done, you deserve your halo! What you gonna get OH to do then? :rotfl:

    Evening all  I'm back!

Blimey, it's sooo hot I'm melting away - pity it doesn't actually work like that, unfortunately whenever it's hot my feet swell up.

I haven't weighed in yet this week as I've only just got back - I'm going to do it on Wednesday this week and hope that the weekend away hasn't been too disastrous.

I sent Petrichor a PM and she replied and asked me to say hello for her and let everyone know that she's ok, but has some problems to deal with at the moment, which is why she hasn't been posting.

Well done to everyone who's posted their results so far this week, and good luck to everyone still to weigh in.

    Catch you later.

well, back home now and i think it all went okay. I managed to talk lotys about how interesting their market was and show off some knowledge. The interviewer said some encouraging things like ' i can see how what you currently do fits well with what we want yet stills offers some challenges'. So, fingers crossed. There would still be another stage, but i think it went well. and they gave me a packet of biscuits too! bonus!

BB for £1,300 he surely should be your slave for at least a month. £1,300 for a day's work is WAAAAAY over the top. (But now I'm thinking .... what is BB asking her OH to do? Maybe I'm just too unimaginative to consider how he's earning the money)

KPC . Sounds great .. and of course you're not eating the biscuits .....

Suggs, 5.4lb of extra muscle? Exactly where? Pictures please.
