  • awwww, delly, hope today is a better day for you. Sorry you're mising the ginger pigdog, but i think that you don't need the stress of taking care of someone else for a couple of weeks.

Blore was ace, didn't eat very well. However, have just seen the godawful photos on facebook so have been officially kicked up the wotsit to sort it out.

Welcome - FG - why did you pick that name for yourself? I know you'd lose your thanks, but i think you should change it. I'm with BB, if you are greedy, SW works, but you haveto stick with it - I lost 10 kilos, lost interest and whacked 15 back on. It's not actually difficult to stick to, but if you start to let it slide, the weight will come back with a vengeance. The magazine is a great introduction to the plan.

Sorry i've been lame wit hte swaps folks, i'll do it TONIGHT! BBelle, got your pm, I'm going to sort it out and send it to you tonight.

    laters all

    xx
  • Thanks everyone. Feeling slightly better today.

WI result this morning is -0.5lbs please Lois. Think I'll start keeping a food diary again so I can track what I'm eating while I'm off.

Hope you all have a good day today.

Hello everyone and welcome to any newbies I've missed :hello:There's been some wonderful advice already; I really hope you can make the changes you want. Why not take one small thing each day to improve, that way it can seem less daunting and before you know it your habits will have changed radically. FG, I agree with changing your name, psychology is every bit as important as changing food habits in this game. Looking at your daily food intake I would imagine that you get real slumps in energy and the chocolate picks you up. Working on evening out your blood sugars will really help with the chocolate cravings.

Hugs to you Delly, glad you're feeling a little better today. One day at a time lovely xx

We've had two party weekends, which have been great, and now my body wants to be healthy again :D I'm starting a new course this afternoon (sign language) so I just need to get myself organised with breakfast, lunch and snacks as it runs 1-3pm.
Hope everyone has a great day!

delly it is not going to be easy but will get tonnes better;)

fatgit welcome, can't say I like the name, change it if you can like the OP said,it seems very detrimental:rolleyes: I do WW points system, very easy to follow, loads of 0 points veg to fill up and porridge def for breakfast as that is a filler or shreddies or weetabix.

Re-choc fixes, I have no added sugar angel delight in choc flavour for the choc need or 70% green and blacks dark choc, two squares of that and you need no more.

leyla I have never been to a WW class but there are online websites with great hints, tips, recipes, chat rooms I got a load of WW books from the car boot sales, library, printed the recipes from the internet, could not afford the weekly cost and did not want to go by myself so did it myself and it worked for me.
Def what ff says you must keep a food diary, it is very easy to 'forget' you had such and such or drank whatever and all those 'missing calories' make the weight loss journey longer.
I had extremely sore knees partly due to arthritis but also the weight carrying an extra 6 stone plus the pain hindering the exercise, once the weight started to come off so did the pain, the more it came off the less pain I have been it, it still aches because unfortunately arthritis does not go away however much weight loss you achieve but it has helped immensely and now I can even cycle on a good day, I don't drive so walk everywhere which is great exercise, can climb stairs, the weight loss is very liberating.
I learnt to cook from scratch and love salmon, prawns fresh fish, use a lot of WW products to be sure of the portion sizes but now with their scales to calculate the points it is easy to know that the 4 person serving of spaghetti just for me I used to serve up is not what I am allowed:rotfl: :rotfl:

missy very nice thing to say thank you, will not be repeating the quality street tin in the house again;) it was DS birthday yesterday and he had a friend to stay so they had them all as did my other son and OH, I had 2, quality street brown wrapper toffee my all time fav:D should have known I cannot control myself:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey everyone! I've really enjoyed reading up to date today, some great posts, WL tips and stories! I'll be back with some replies but couldn't wait to post my weigh in details first!

Another 1.25lb loss :D That's my third consecutive loss which is something I haven't managed to do since May! The 5lb I wanted to lose after my holiday is gone now and it has taken only 5 weeks! Average cals for the week were 1223/day for all you calorie counters, and 45 mins of wii fit every day.

I'm raising my cals this week to 1275/day (yippee!), and increasing to 60 mins a day on the wii fit.

Just chuffed to bits that the enforced exercise layoff hasn't resulted in me piling on the pounds - quite the opposite!!! Good luck everyone else this week!

FG as a fellow male of the species, please have a gander at page1 for proof. Lets have a nice name that will perk the ladies up. If I can humbly suggest something with 'Ajax' in it!! One or two ladies are pineing for him it would seem.

Well done on making the first step, as BB mentioned you have had your lightbulb moment.. So keep hold of it and remember that feeling. As well as the feeling you had when you joined the forces. The Lady Dragon will help and guide you, but as the saying goes, we can get the horse to water, but will it drink the milkshake???

I eat Porridge made with water everyday and can say it does fill me up. Remember to have some fruit to hand for the sweettooth fairy when it comes a knocking.

On a lighter note I played again in my new position of 2ndRow on Saturday, we lost though to a much younger team, we did 'win' the 2nd half though. so that leave me 3 games left. Had a lovely indian Sat night with a bottle of beer, but did go for a 6km walk yesterday to ease the guilt. This week Im off to London on Wednesday taking MrsS to see OneRepublic, so that should be a nice evening out.

Trust we are doing well? Delly hopefully things will turn a corner for you soon, it is hard coming out of a relationship. For every up there is a down, just let the downs pass on by and embrace the ups :)

    Right back to work.

Hey everyone, hope were all ok! Im groovy, got up early to start my dissertation and its nearly 11 with no sign of action. But it will happen or i'll threaten to punch myself in the face if i dont.

Had a chinese last night, and a mcdonalds for lunch :( Woops! But as i keep saying to myself on a daily basis you only live once and while i have age on my side i might as well go for it somewhat. Although i might go to aqua aerobics this week!! feeling a bulging stomach, but its all good.

Went to la senza yesterday, bought the best bra ever. I was going to buy another one but i was seriously good! Sometimes its nice to feel a wobble!!

Welcome fatgit: really gotta change that name, even if you change it to frank! I cant offer you any weight loss advice because when i started here i really wanted to loose some but after only ever loosing 1lb i got all fed up and im a lazy !!!! basically. What i would say is that you need to have your heart in it, and i think because your 20 odd stone you'll see results quite quickly which should give you the motivation to keep going.

What i can offer you is fashion advice! I love dressing men, i also give good advice with women that no one takes haha.

Missy: Do you ever feel really fat when you have put weight on from a holiday? you always seem in such a rush to get the weight off super quickly when you probably dont really need to. Im just curious to know your reasons cos im nosy :p

Somethings changing in me folks. Everytime i go on facebook someone has gotten married or engaged or having children, not long ago we were all getting trashed every saturday!! Mum was asking me about babies names this morning, i have a feeling shes as eager as i am! Trouble is its only about 5 years too soon!

im off, to er....play a game. Then i will do dissertation work :p
