HI guys long time no see!

I've been in avoidance mode recently and decided hat I needed a few days away from the internet and everything else that wasn't my home life or work.

Haven't got the time to read through everything fully but have had a quick read earlier today.

Delly- I 've made a point of bringing myself up to date with your situation and am sending you bug hugs.

Lara, all the weight I've lost so far has been through following the Rosemary Conley plan (not online though) I find I'm never hungry and still enjoy my food greatly. If you want to get an idea of what the first part of the diet entails (ie the stricter first two weeks) take a look here . I'd also be happy to share recipes etc with you.
    Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j

  • Had another 'first' today. For the first time in my life, I got up at 6.15am to go on an 11km cycle before getting showered and ready for work. I have NEVER got up early to do exercise in my life before. I had to do one practise on the bike before the big event on Sunday. Then ran 5km in my lunch break in 29 mins (which I was pleased with - perhaps I have not mapped the route properly as that does sounds awfully fast:confused:). Anyway, I have run 5km + in 5 of the last 6 days so taking my training quite seriously. I hope I get a loss this week after all this:A
  • Hi gert - welcome to the thread. I 'm sorry to hear of your troubles, but I know exactly what you're going though so if you ever need to vent, pm me. I only hope that your OH is making more of an effort to save the marriage than my ex did.... he told me that he would try but never did.

Welcome too lara I went to rc class ages ago and found it to be brilliant - so supportive. I couldn't recommend the class enough because you get so many tips and support from the other members. It isn't very MSE though.

I'm absolutely exhausted today. I could barely get up out of bed this morning. I've had family coming over all the time and the ex looking to borrow the car and see ds for the past few days and I've had enough of it. I'm meant to take DS to see him this afternoon but I might ask my ex MIL to take him over as I really can't bear to meet him today. I'm glad he starts back on shift tomorrow as I don't have to have much contact with him until next Wednesday and that suits me fine!

Bright side time - I've had a sneaky WI and I think it's going to be another 5lbs this week! And I've been eating this time around and I had to come off the reductil as it can cause anxiety attacks.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.
  • Thanks for welcoming me Dellybelly and I'm sorry to hear some of your troubles also - not too sure of the whole story, but as you said, pm me if you like. I post quite frequently on the dfw board - marriage over where do I start thread started by KizzyKizzyWizzy - there are about 5 of us on there going through same/similar stuff - sooo many people I know who are having probs this year - must be something in the water!!

Off to the supermarket soon, and I will not buy any crisps or chocs!!! Can't quite bring myself to get my alcohol intake really down atm, but thats the next step!! Don't drink during the day but I can quite happily sink 2 or 3 glasses a night due to current situation!!

Am going to weigh myself every monday morning and am joinging WW next wed, as its on in the morning so I can go whilst DS is at school and DD is at pre-school - also going to look into some gym classes which are also run in the mornings. OH looks after the kids Tues and Thurs evenings but there are some college courses I wouldn't mind doing those evenings and Sat nights, OH stays over so he can spend time with the kids and we get to talk about where we went wrong and if we can salvage it. We given a timescale of until the end of the month - so who knows!! In the meantime, being a newly stay at home mum is quite new to me and I'm desperatly trying to find things to fill my time - figured now would be the best time to go to the gym or WW or whatever!!

  • I feel really bad about posting about me and C with all that's going on with delly and gert :(
But me and C decided last night that as we were sort of already engaged we wouldn't wait til October and we proposed to each other last night. It's all official now and I'm wearing my ring :)
I joined in with C's football training yesterday, I enjoyed it, even if I was pants. I did manage to score a goal thou!! :D Going to go and train each week that my shifts allow, don't think I'll volunteer for any matches anytime soon thou. It's different exercise than going to the gym, so hopefully it will have a good effect on the weightloss.
Doing a boot sale tomorrow morning trying to get rid of junk and make some cash, must remember to take some fruit so I'm not tempted by the burger van!
