I've just burst out laughing and got some very funny looks from the kids but I have been a right thicko. I honestly thought that when you lot mentioned scrabble you were really playing scrabble!!!!!! I thought it was a pastime you lot had got into whilst I wasn't posting on the board. What do you mean by using the remoska?????? You mucky moos!

    :rotfl:
Ever since we had the current poll with the question about playing scrabble, I've wondered how many people know what we really mean!

I was just trying to remember where it originated from, and I have vague recollections of it being something to do with Honey, who used to be a regular back when the thread was still in the low numbers. She was having major building work done to her house and the family moved in with her mother, with the obvious difficulties that causes for marital relations!

Anyone else remember, and was that how it originated, or did we use the euphemism before that?

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Tagz that's a classic post!!! :D Thanks for brightening our day! :D
  • Me too - I never knew what scrabble meant, and as I am not really a fan it went straight over my head - ROFL!!

I have just been for my annual Asthma check with the nurse, and asked to be weighed - since the middle of June I have lost (officially on scary doctors scales that have just been calibrated making them even scarier.........) 11 lbs!!!
That is awesome as the scales had refused to move down ever pver the past 2 and a half years.......

Delly - you sound a little brighter - I am glad we are able to make you smile here.

I remember using it a couple of years ago, the first time MrsS & kids went on holiday with me & kids. In a effort to think of something to say in front of the kids we called it 'scrabble' we had a funny half hour deciding on wether it would be snakes and ladders, hangman, cluedo etc eventually decided on scrabble. I know I used it on here when I reported back to LW (whatever it was back then)

Whether Honey gave me the idea or indeed anyone else I cant remember ;)

  • Hi guys!! I would like to join in please?!?! I desperatly need to lose some weight - have done for a while but have made the decision to actually do so now. Currently on my own with two under 5's as found out OH had been cheating on me. We are trying to work through things, but just to add extra stress on myself thought I would try to lose weight aswell!! And the losing weight is for me, not for him!! If things don't go well between us, then with my new figure, everyone will be wanting a bit of the Gert!! And if they do go well, then I'll feel better about myself so bonus all round really.
So what do I do to join in?!
    Cheers
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:

That makes sense, and must have been around the time when Honey moved out so she picked up on it too. :)
