Delly - it's hard to know what to say, apart from sorry for all you've gone through. You're thinking positively about the future, which is a good thing, and it sounds like you're doing all the right things. Look after yourself, and know that all your friends on the thread are thinking of you and sending positive thoughts and virtual hugs. :)

Vic~why not to wear black @ wedding?
it says on the invite no black and I am flagrantely ignoring it:rolleyes: but it is what bb says that dress can carry me through many other functions and on the budget we have it will have to earn it's keep:D

delly you have masses of things to cope with, take each one as it comes and work through it one by one, don't take it all on as it will sink you;)

  • thanks everyone.

I know it seems like I'm taking a lot on board by thinking about the baby that never was, but I was trying to lose weight to start trying for another baby. We did have lots and lots of scrabble over the past 3 weeks - more than in the past 3 years and it was middle of the month IYSWIM and I ended up taking an emergency contraceptive -something I swore I'd never do! It's done it's job and TOTM has arrived a week early!

I've just burst out laughing and got some very funny looks from the kids but I have been a right thicko. I honestly thought that when you lot mentioned scrabble you were really playing scrabble!!!!!! I thought it was a pastime you lot had got into whilst I wasn't posting on the board. What do you mean by using the remoska?????? You mucky moos!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!
  • Tagz, they really are talking about Remoska cookers: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=99679

Took me a while to cotton on to the 'real' meaning of scrabble.

As for remoska's, I have a big one to play with;) .

Delly - sounds like you are doing all 'the right things' - understanding the need for space to cry your eyes out, as well as holding on to the hope of good things in your future. Hang on to that when you can in the bleaknesss of now. And when you can't, just allow yourself to cry & cry. Sound like you know it is ok to do that. I too am glad you have seen your GP for help & support.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • just rofling away here at the thought of what the remoska could be a euphemism for. nice one tagz!

Doing great, delly, you're really holding things together and seem to getting the balance. its very scary and theres lots to moutrn, but you've clearly seen the light at the end of the tunnel. And being so reasonable too. you're great!

Morning or is it yet?:rotfl: Hypos do not have a timing:rolleyes: I am trying to avoid sugar like the plague which is really hard when you have hypos for two reasons one is boot camp chez victory for the weight loss to compensate for last weeks weight gain and on tuesday I am having the annual HB (when the blood test takes the average over the year of my blood sugars and gives me a reading) if there is is sugar in the system it sends everything off, docs want to talk to you about damage to kidneys, eyesight going, amputations:rolleyes: it is just best if there is no sugar and the readings are between 5 and 7, I got 6.1 once and the doc was well impressed then got 8 one year and had a huge lecture about taking care of myself:D docs don't like it over 7 so that is my aim plus a weight loss plus no sugar in system not much then:rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh well at least it is friday and I have 5 days behind me already and only 4 more to go in this angelic state:rotfl: :rotfl:

Went for a smear test that turned out I did not need because I have had one already and the nurse never seen her before started shortening my name, calling me doll, love and sweetheart, far too friendly:rotfl:

Back to bed now, have a great day everyone:D
