    Afternoon all.

Countdown to my duathlon - 6 days to go! Haven't been training more than my usual running so I need to step it up this week in order to be able to complete the course without having to walk. My friend pulled out too - something about being too busy starting the kids at school and packing for her holiday (she doesn't work and has a live-in nanny - I work full time and I am in the thick of my busiest time at work ever!!! - everyone has different priorities I suppose!). To remind you, the course in Richmond Park on Sunday is 5km run - 10km cycle - 5km run. Not the hardest thing in the world but a massive challenge for me. I just did two thirds of it (!) 3km run - 6km cycle - 3km in the gym this lunchtime and although it was not 'easy' it was ok. I am feeling like I should be able to complete it on Sunday but I need to step up the training before the big day.

Anyway, food not going so well but hoping the increase in working out will help me get a bit more back on track. Focus is just really hard at the moment. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

aw that is so awful beanie. I hate mental illnesses. Bone cancer is terrible too, life is so cruel sometimes.

Andy: thanks for the advice. I'd still get the discount cos my friends would give it to me, thats 25%. Although i only normally use it on megaday when you get an extra 20% off on top. I would only get paid time and a half, or they might even give it to me as time in lieu, who knows. The point is starting at 7am means i would have to get up at half 5 in the morning, and an early night christmas day. Its ruuubish.

Oh and i found out a work colleague gets paid 30p an hour more than i do! Shes been there a year less than i have.

im bored today, we have a "stiff !!!!" as the man on the phone said, and that has turned into three gas vans outside, a massive hole in the garden and a whole day without gas. The gas men are very lazy.

    Good luck efrieze!!! Sounds tough!

I read in the paper that there is a moron on this planet who is going to run from marble arch in london to dover, then swim the channel and then bike ride to the arc de triomph. Hes gotta beat 80 odd hours or so to get the record. Oh and he also runs like 25 miles home after work!

    Hello

Got my results and it's a mixed bag. The general opinion of the panel who looked at my scan say they think it hasn't grown again but one of them does and he has insisted I have another scan in a years time (!!!) just in case. I did ask if it was something nasty would it be ok to leave it a year and she said yes!

So sort of a sigh of relief but have to wait a whole year til I can be certain!!!

Thanks for all your good wishes.

Beanie What a horrible time you are going through. Wish I could say something more helpful. Whoppa hugs to you and your friend!

Vix Grow some balls? I would have thought you'd be more likely to kick him in them when he suggested it! Mind you that would only work if his is indeed a he, but it can be an interesting way to resign! Honestly I think it is a bit much to ask - are the others being told to start at the same time? I would also demand a pay rise if someone else gets more than me! Is she older than you? It's silly but sometimes I think you get more according to age. If they want someone to start early on Boxing Day tell them to ask the ones who are being paid more than you!

Efrieze Good luck - got my fingers crossed!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!
  • Tagz, the first bit is is really good news though as you say, not enough to move on unshackled. Hurray for the good bit and sympathy re the other - at least I guess she is insisting on looking after you and being absolutely sure. Not easy. I hope in a little while you are able to put it all to the very back of your mind and enjoy life to the full, but easy words to say know. Thanks so much for getting back to us so quickly.
Beanie - that is so rough. Sometimes life is so difficult and there is nothing much I can say other than sending hugs xx
Missy, well done on your predicted .25lbs being correct.
Andy 1stone is doable in 2 months is you focus your mind. Take it one day at a time. Can you up your walking? Can you plan your meals ahead, take a packed lunch, pre-prepare snacks?
Efrieze - well done you. This is a huge achievement to be doing this so it's great to hear you are seeing it through and not finding excuses:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • go efrieze . . . go efrieze . . . go efrieze . . . .

feel awful. mum dropped me off to pick my car up for the service and then ran in the side of someone. I know it's not strictly speaking my fault but feel SOOOOOO responsible.

still, beanie's post reminded me that there are worse things in life. Thinking of you beaniexx

there'll be some pms hitting inboxes during the rest of the week - probably weds when i have a free night. and yes vix, you are on the list just get that info to me!

Yay, 0.25lb loss to report! :D This is over 2 weeks because of refusing to accept the 5lb gain as an official weigh in last week ;)If I'd accepted it as a true gain I'd now be reporting a 5.25lb loss :rotfl:

Very relieved to say this brings me back within my comfortable zone, though I would still like to lose another 2-3lb so that I have some leeway :) The main thing is not to go back over again though :o

I've worked out a plan for the week and hoping to be able to post another loss next Monday!

Will catch up on posts now...

Hi Missy - just updating the chart - please can you let me know your total weight loss?

    Thanks, LL
