  • You will, just allow yourself a bit of time. I suspect the corrosion on your sense of self has been going on a bit longer than a few weeks.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

delly - sorry that things are not going the way you hoped. Perhaps a little time apart is not such a bad thing. Give him time to reflect on what he is losing if he doesn't sort his head and and find a way to be worth trusting. Is he still willing to go to Relate?

We are all here for you - I hope he doesn't take the pc with him...!
  • Thanks guys. I should be in work but had to come out after I told my boss what's been happening. didn't want to spend all day crying in work - not good! I'm currently in a friend's house. DS is with his granny, OH's mum - she thinks I'm at work but I told her this morning that things arent going well and I need some time to talk to OH tonight before he goes to work. I'm worn out and want to go home and get things sorted out.

thanks for the advice, but I believe I've just about reached the end of my rope. If OH wants to go - he can, but there's no way back. He's making major life changing decisions here and making little or no contriubtion to our relationship when he's stopped taking his med s and has no direction from his GP. I cannot allow myself to be hurt again and again like this.

This all sounds mad and I know I'm rambling... sorry.

Beanielou - I did notice what you'd said about your life, and I'm really sorry for the trouble you're having at the minute.Hope you're managing to keep things together.

  • bless you delly, even at this difficult time you are thinking about others. You've been so strong. Tell him you've pawned the pc and hide it in a cupboard.

Oh Delly, I am so sorry to hear your news. I agree wholeheartedly with everything BB has said. You weren't wrong at all - I have been amazed at how controlled you have been in your responses to his behaviour and have given him every opportunity to work on things together, being very clear about what you need. I tend to agree that being able to shift the blame onto you, even if subconsciously, is an easy way out of being responsible for the consequences of his actions. I wouldn't beg either.
Sending you masses of hugs. Tell your family and take support from them. As for the computer, can you access another PC elsewhere? We would hate to lose you just when we can hopefully offer you some real support. Thinking of you xxx

lol - I've thought about it but I'm such a carp liar he'd find it in 30 seconds flat.

Just off to talk to my folks. Not looking forward to this one.

See you all later I hope.

Delly - I really am sorry to hear that things have taken a turn for the worse. The support and advice given by BB is spot on. I know we will all be thinking of you.

ps - If you have a joint account go and empty it now and open a new account in your name only for your wages to go into. See if you can get a good locksmith to change the locks on your doors. Also if you have a credit card which he has access to - try and cancel that now too. It is sad but now is the time to try and protect yourself financially. It is time to get mad:mad:! Don't try to protect his reputation with his mother - make sure she knows exactly what has been going on. You will need as much support from all sides as you can get.:grouphug:
