haha BB, get me a gun when i reach 25!!! only joking, i know i will love it when i get there. I was laying in bed this morning, thinking of my brother back when he was 21 and looking at him now. I have decided that im ok untill i reach 35, cos he has a few grey hairs and a bit of wrinklage.

I cant remember who said about matt and i both being virgos, but yes it works out fine. My best friend was a virgo, with saggitarius (bloody spelling) being my prefered friend star sign, ive had 4 very good friends born in december, but anyone born in those last 3 months is more compatible to me. Anyone born in the summer months is not so, with the exception of my mother and brother and the exception of my friend kelly whos friendship is one where i can not see her for months and resume normal service at the drop of a hat.

But enough of that, went shopping with my brother, i bought a black clutch bag to go with that top matts mum is getting me :p

Yeeeeeeeees lewis hamilton got his win denied HAHAHAHA. I was swearing and shouting at the tv, he always gets it his own way and my second boyfriend if matt cleared off (kimi raikkonen) hit a wall and was out after leading the race for ages. Im exstatic now!

Tagz: Good luck for tomorrow and lots of hugs, it will be hard but whatever the outcome we are all here for you when you need us.
  • vix, just told OH that Lewis had his win denied and Mr Monkey has gone ape (pun intended :rotfl: ) - he's not happy as he is a Lewis fan.

missy, there are other gyms in the area and the local council one is a pay as you go - but I'm bit of a gym snob - I like the one at the bottom of my road, very little lycra on display and more aimed at us 40 somethings :D . One of my failed years was a David Lloyd's gym - I hated it, lycra everywhere, everyone posing and just not as 'homely' as my local, plus I got a parking ticket for going 10 minutes over what I had paid for - made it very expensive. The local has free parking too. It's only got a diddy pool - but for me with my swimming ability it's plenty big. The spin classes are held in darkened rooms where they put on disco lights to help you concentrate on the music rather than the pain in your legs.

BB, (bit off topic) Amazon is great for boosting your income, I sold a book this weekend for £22.25 (I'd had it listed since June 2005, it's been living in my storage system - the shed, ever since). It was part of my first job lot that I bought for £80, one of those books went for £300 at Bloomsbury's Auction House in London - by the time I paid all their fees I got about £150, if I'd known better I might have Ebayed it.

Tagz, good luck for tomorrow. Don't worry about the tears in church, there are certain hymns that set me off.

    FFM :)

    Right, one more try.

Yep - it's me again - and I know I have popped in on several occasions over the last couple of years but here I am again (And STILL about the same weight). Have decided I will simply join the gang who go to the nurse at the local GP every 2 weeks to be weighed and advised as ££ is tight (as usual). This way I may be able to afford to rejoin the gym (£26/month here I think, but no pool or sauna - just gym and lots of exercise classes like aerobics, step, stretch and tone etc).
Other possibility was to join the Rosemary Conley online but I cannot help but feel any online diet club could be a bit of a waste of time as you are not getting any of the benefits of a club but are still paying out a lot. Does anyone else feel the same?
Have new addition to the family since I was last on - our little Border Collie pup, Zak, is nearly 6 months old now and need a lot of walking although, if I am honest, I let him off the lead near a river and he tends to play chase with whichever dog he meets and I can amble along quite lazily if I wish while he runs himself daft.....
I may not pop on too often but I do still tend to hover around in the background quite a lot. Having said that, I am off now to catch up on everyone as I have not been on at all for about a month.

    It's a big(ish) cup and a small teapot - I'll take a picture and post it tomorrow. :D

I've found a picture on the net - not the same design as the one I chose, but the same idea. The teapot sits in the cup, then you lift it out to pour. :)

I have a new addition to our household too (well next week I will)! After lunch OH took us all to the local rescue centre and we adopted a cat. My beloved cat Finkles died a year ago (he ate a mouse that had eaten rat poison!) and when we moved back into our house after the building work I said I wanted another cat but only when the time was right. Well OH said that time was today as I needed a bit of company when the kids are at school.

Well his name is Morgan and he is beautiful. He has short black shiny fur with four white hairs on his chest. He is exceptionally friendly with the kids and they adore him already! I think he is gorgeous too. The funny thing is he is the spit of my Mum's cat which she got from the same centre a year ago. Her one is called Sam so I've nick named Morgan 'The Son Of Sam'. I can't wait till Saturday when we can collect him!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

  • well done on your OH tagz - good timing.
Wecome again katyk - good to have you pop in. I tend to think online stuff, if you already now the ropes isn't so much use - you can use this forum just as effectively. And there was I thinking a dog would mean more exercise:D .
FFM - must make more effort to get books online this week. I could do with some extra cash. I bought the envelopes in the poundshop yesterday in anticipation.
Do you think ajax has gone on a massive pre 40 bender, and once the big 40 day arrives (this week I think) he'll finally come back:rotfl: . We seem to be missing Erlqueen and Pinklipgloss too.
Seren - hope the emergency bridesmaid dress hunt went ok - not sure if the wedding was yesterday or not.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Well, if I ran around with him I should be 7 stone (or dead) within the month...
Still at least i am out with him twice most days for an hour or so at a time, and the kids take him out for about 20 minutes at a time. they are not the easiest little sweethearts to wear out, Collies. Met a couple of whippets he was playing with the other day and they absolutely ran circles round him, but after about 20 minutes they sat down exhausted and Zak just looked as if to say, 'Right, now what do we do?' - feel I should lose weight just by watching him...
