I am off on the orient express this morning and have woken up nervous, very nervous, fidgety nervous:rolleyes: OH was taking me to London Victoria to the train but now is not and I am no good on my own travelling, I worry myself into misery and keep thinking what if I get on the wrong train? Will I miss the orient express? Deep breaths, I have to go suited and booted and I look like I am going for a job interview in an M&S never worn before black pin strip trouser suit, I can feel the sickness nerves coming on, OH says to grow up:rotfl: :rotfl: ahhh, travelling around the world solo would not be for me:rotfl: :rotfl: calm down, deep breaths, it is supposed to be a pleasure trip not torture:rotfl: why did I buy such a stark business like suit? I don't look feminine or lovely just harsh:rolleyes: right off to get some shreddies, calm down, enjoy my day and return with loads of photos:D
The carvery home made yesterday was very much appreciated by OH, the kids not so much:rotfl: but OH is a lot happier now the lino man is coming today and all the bathroom needs is a bit of touching up here and there, 5 weeks work comes to an end, shame for him to take the time off work and spend it in the bathroom but it is done and he is proud of his work:D0 -
Enjoy your day Vic, how lucky to be going on the Orient Express! Try not to worry about the travelling, leave yourself enough time and if you get on the wrong train you can always get off at the next stop. Better still, doublecheck with someone before you get on. Hi Rumbly - great user name for this thread!
I'll be doing the chart in September, and I'll aim to post it at about 9pm, so if you get your result on here by about 8.45 it will be included.
Welcome to the group, and good luck with your weight loss.

Hi LL,
Many thanks - I shall report in next week! Have a good week everyone.

Hey all
Good news on the exercise front Cathy (or do you prefer to be known as Cate?) You're so lucky to have that kind of support for babysitting in your family, make the most of it! I'm on my own with my son too, he is almost 10 and at that age we can do a fair bit of exercise together (he rides his bike or scoots while I jog, etc). It's a bit more difficult when they are younger. Do you work full time?
Rumblytum, I must have missed your username on your last postThat's how I feel right now
I'm trying to stick to 1,200 cals/day this week due to being inactive - and probably the same for the next few weeks. Having my favourite pasta bolognese for lunch yesterday and today - yum - doesn't leave a lot of calorie allowance for the rest of the day, but it's worth it!
Walked 1 mile yesterday and hoping to do the same today. The dressing can come off tomorrow so I can finally have a look at what's been done!0 -
oooh vic, bet you look all romy and michele. have a great time.0

The romy and michele reference was lost on me, so I googled it and found this description on Wikipedia. I was thinking it might be fun to get the DVD, but now I've read that I don't need to! :rotfl:

Oh, the orient express was fab:D the food was sublime, the company the three merry widows sitting next to me the best, the attention to detail is something else, they put your napkin on your lap, the food, oh to cook like that, the champagne, the cost of it all would have been impressive, the bottle of wine I gave to the merry widows was £21 a bottle, the souvenirs well we asked for an empty orient express bag:rotfl: :rotfl: it was truly fantastic, highly recommended, brilliant time, so excellent, very under dressed and not having the proper snobbish accent made me nearly have a panic attack but the merry widows made my day:D I so loved every second of it:D0

So glad you had a good time Victory! Where did you actually travel to? (Excuse my ignorance!)
Gonna plan tomorrow's food now and see if there's any way at all I can squeeze in a little treat from the "stuff I brought back from holidays" bag0 -
