BB and funkymunky I make loads of yoghurt. I got an old yoghurt maker from a neighbour and was making it using milk and bio yoghurt but I wasn't very successful so I bought some of the yoghurt mixes from Lakeland. I found that DH and DSs all wanted the full fat greek so I have got another yoghurt maker from Freecyle and now make the low fat for DD and me. It saves loads of money and if the little darlings want something special they can buy their own.

I am thinking of trying to make my own cottage cheese again. Its about 15 years since I did it before and it was quite successful.

Good luck with the yoghurt making!

    hey guys!

I did write a long post but its gone and i cant be arsed to write it again.

Does anyone know the calories in a jumbo battered sausage and chips with a small glass of wine and coke?

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Seriously Vix, wine and coke in the same glass at the same time? Does it have to be any particular wine? Was it diet coke?

Does anyone know how many calories in I don't know how many glasses of wine (people kept offering and it seemded rude to say no) on Thursday night ... some? glasses of champagne and more chocolates on Saturday lucnhtime and in between eating healthily? Could this be why I don't look like Missyg? (Oh, and the difference in age and exercise too, maybe?)

I can't believe that Cambridge quote either, horrendous! The sad point is that people are so desperately unhappy they will try anything, and they know that. BargainBabe, please do take Ajax's advice and investigate the medical impact on your increase first.
We're off to Cornwall for a week tomorrow, then we'll be back for a couple of days and then to Brighton for 5 days so I won't be about much but will try to pop in.
Good luck everyone, welcome Pandora and I hope the Race for Life went well, FitorBust xx

......argh Raph!!! Willpower needed! Reminds me of the One Foot In The Grave when Victor is bored in the house and lamenting the previous day where he ate a whole half pound block of Dairy Milk. "I'm never doing THAT again" he says, then goes to get a half pound block of Dairy Milk out of the fridge. :D

Snigger :D I don't have a sweet tooth, so this is no problem for me, but I suppose stopping at the one square is the trick.

I love One Foot. I love the one where he picks up the puppy thinking its the phone..."4291...where the bloody hell did you come from!!"

    Evening all,

Last night I said goodbye to all my mates at my Sayonara Party in the city. Today I went to one of my ex-students homes for a BBQ (there was a bunch of kids that I taught for 2 years there with their parents) so I had to say goodbye to all of them tonight. If there's one thing worse than saying goodbye to your mates - it's saying goodbye to your kids.

My internet is getting disconnected at some point tomorrow - and we're leaving Japan early Tuesday morning so I won't be able to wi this week  (usually I wi on a Wednesday morning). Brighton Belle - could you put me down for an STS on Wednesday? The following Wednesday I'll be back in Glasgow so I'll be able to weight myself no probs at my mums. Hopefully I will have a big loss then! Although I've not been exercising this week as I've been so busy - and I won't be able to exercise in London (besides lots of walking) hmmm - heres hoping anyways!

Hi - I'm back and did the Race for Life is 48 minutes - not brilliant but it absolutely poured down and the Knavesmire was a mire!!! I have never been so wet in my life - I have had a nice hot bath and we have had bacon and egg sandwiches (grilled bacon and dry fried eggs of course!!).
Must go and do the jobs I should have done yesterday now... we caught up on Dr Who by watching about 7 episodes yesterday - it was fab wasn't it?
