That's what I thought - how did she know he wasn't going to buy the chicken anyway? He said there were loads of chickens and all the other mains, it was just the puddings they had run out of. I don't know whether to write to the manager of Preston store or to Head Office. It would probably be more efficient to write to the Head Office as the Manager of the store would probably send it off to them anyway. What does anyone think?

Went into my local store today and they were selling all the leftover Deal food at 1/2 price, except for the chickens and wine. I picked up a couple of the big moussakas at £2.74 each. You could get two mains, two puds and one or two sides for £10 by my calculations, depending on the price. Would work out as a better deal for anyone that didn't want wine.

Looks like there is no dine in this week or next week (4th) but if you pop into a store there are certain to be some great deals (weekend specials). As for the week after Dine in fans could be in luck.

There is rumour of another deal next thursday then 2 weeks after that is the Christmas £20 deal :-)

I know for a fact there is no dine in next week. There is also no Christmas week dine in planned. But there is a nice gap the week after next that lots of things could happen in.

Wow - you got someone to offer a REPLACEMENT for one of the parts of the deal that had run out - this is a miracle to me. Mum and I tried to get the deal in Cov M&S, were told that if there weren't all four parts available, it was tough luck, you had to pick one thing from all four sections - Main, Side, Dessert and Wine to get the deal - if one section had no choices left, that was your bad luck. Couldn't believe it, so tried in Leamington Spa, told pretty much the same thing, and treated as if we were !!!!!! who shouldn't really shop in M&S anyway. Snobbish isn't in it - if M&S are trying to shake off the yoke of that terrible advert and appeal to those who are cutting back in difficult financial times, they should tell their staff that people who have driven 30 miles to get a deal aren't too happy to be told they've wasted their time.
Grrrrr. Am writing to Head Office. Prob a "yours in disgust" letter - my favourite. :mad: :rolleyes:

Do let us know the response won't you? Don't expect too much, M&S seem to be going down the same poor customer service route that afflicts so much of British business. Look forward to seeing how you get on. x:eek:
