whats the customer services like? I'm a bit peeved that I'm stuck with 3 bottles of wine when I don't drink when others have got chocolates. Do you think if I phoned & complained they'd let me exchange?

Nothing ventured....I would, if I were you. Tell them you don't drink much and were really looking forwards to the chocs again (they did them last time) and when you got here you didn't want to waste the trip. Then tell them you know others got chocs so.....???? Phone them IN Store though, or better still go to the service desk.

I personally would like more flexible options ie the option of two puds and no sides, or vice versa. Or even three instead of wine. (I could see it only being limited to one wine and one main per meal though.) And I really liked these big salad bowls and jelly terrines...not only were they delicious, they were a bit more healthy. I got chicken and salad and berry terrine and orange juice a couple of times, and it fitted very well into my diet.

Got 2 litres of Fresh orange Juice instead of wine.
Trouble is the prices are not on the Products, you could end up with 4 x £2.50 or £2.99 items for your £10, and considering the M &S prices are expensive, this aint the Great Deal that some people are Claiming!

the prices are always on the shelf edge at M&S. but there is no chance of getting 4 x £2.50 items, as any botle of wine is at least £3.50, and if you go for the chocs, they are usually £6-£7 a box, so even more of a winner than buying wine

also most mains are over £3 each - the only item that falls in the cheap price range, is the side, but then again, i think the mash in this weeks offer, is the only side i have ever seen that is under £2

    ** 20% Off Thursday **
Bought a £10 meal deal yesterday and really expected it to go through as £8 considering ALL the signs on display stating 20% reductions on everything (including wine)!! Anyone else thought about this?

There was an exclusion sign in my store - saying that sorry, it was not included, but it's a good deal anyway!

All of the products had prices on them in our store. For 6 meal deals I saved just short of £40 this weekend, so that for me was almost a 40% saving - sound like a pretty good deal to me!!! :D

M&S prices are also not that expensive when compared to goods of comparable quality such as Tesco's finest etc.

  • This has probably been posted before but worth reminding people.
It's a good deal when you add extra wine to get the extra discount when you buy 6. Eg 2 meal deals + 4 bottles of wine.
Even better if you are stocking up for Xmas and get 12 bottles in total, as then you can also use the £5 voucher inside the front cover of the wine booklet.

Christmas £20 Meal Deal? Any news on this?

This is really annoying me - I'm sure I saw an advert link on the side of a website on Friday when i was at work showing something similar from M&S at £47 or so. Perhaps it's a meal for four or more?

Darned if I can find it now and I've thoroughly searched. Perhaps I totally imagined it?

I'm sure one of the earlier posts said it was only being advertised as on until saturday, but it would be still be running on the sunday. Best to ring up to double check if you were going to head out specifically for that. HTH
