The cheese selection sounds tempting...I wonder whether there's enough cheese though?

You get a little more than half a pound (250g) in total, and comprises 3 chunks of approximately equal size of Cheddar, Brie and Stilton.

I work at M&S and when its the Dine In for £10 deal like it is this weekend then some people will come in and get 6 meals. This doesn't come out as £60 as there is an ongoing wine deal which is buy 6 bottles save 10%. This offer still works with the meal deals so if you get meal deals with 6 bottles of wine then you save a extra 10% on the wine.
On Thurs only you will get an extra 20% off each bottle of wine plus if you buy 6 in total then you will get the extra 10% off.
If you bought 12 bottles of wine and have one of the wine booklets found instore then you get £5 off the price of 12 wines, plus the 20% off each bottle plus the 10% for getting 6 bottles of wine.

Thanks for the info on the wine booklet £5 off coupon.
I asked for one at CS and they had to go looking for them somewhere and eventually came back with one for me.
The coupon is valid from 12th November until 31st December 2008.

    I got a GREAT DEAL !!!!!!!!!

Did not need a lot of food so only wanted one "Dine In for £10" providing it had a big Oakham chicken for the main course in it.
The £10 offer displays on the end of 3 aisles had loads of Small & Medium chickens (complete with the Dine In stickers) but a crafty look at the chiller where chickens are normally situated revealed a few Large and Extra Large ones BUT WITHOUT any stickers.

Anyway found the heaviest "LARGE" - 2.180kg at £9.57

and completed the deal with Veg, Sticky Toffee Pud and a Belle Tour Chardonnay.

    Now for some WINE !!!

Picked up ANOTHER 11 bottles (a varied selection of white and Ros!) making 12 in total with the one included in the £10 deal.

No problems at the till (with the exception that a 2nd bottle of Belle Tour went through at the full SEL price of £3.59 and not discounted to £2.87 as expected courtesy of the advertised 20% off - needed a manual discount by the supervisor) and the LARGE £9.57 chicken went through without query and the £10 offer discout kicked in automatically as it should have done.

    Overall receipt details:

    Goods purchased £60.03

    20% discount on wine - minus £8.30
Buy 6 bottles save 10% - minus £3.67 (10% discount applied to all wine since I'd bought 12)
    Buy 12 bottles save £5 coupon - minus £5.00
Dine In for £10 discount - minus £8.64

    To Pay - £34.42 ... saving £25.61

JUST £34.42 for TWELVE bottles of wine, a HUGE Chuck, Sticky Toffee Pud and some Veg.

    SORTED !!!!

And best still, the supervisor said I could keep the £5 coupon and use it as many times as I wanted before 31st Dec if I was going to be buying 12 bottles again.

Can anyone tell me please if M&S are advertising the chicken as meduim? went in my local today about 30 chickens with the dine for 2 on them with the deals.. the meduim chickens were not to be seen, I asked a SA & she said only small chickens in the deal mmm bit naughty i think anyway.. i spotted them other side of the store no sticker on them so picked up put in my basket and it went through.. If i didn't have a bus to catch would have gone back to ask manager ... feel a bit sorry for all the old dears getting the deals
    IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:
  • I bought a large chicken and that went through fine although there were only medium chickens on the Dine In for £10 shelves

Last time round they were doing truffles instead of wine if you wanted. The same truffles were on 3 for 2 so I wondered if that would have worked if you had two deals....and if the chocolates this time are 3 for2 would that work?
  • i got a medium chicken for £7.50 roast veg and hot choc pudding and some white wine.

i did look at the large chickens price around £9 but none had labels on them and as the queues were massiev didnt want to chance it them have the hassle.
