Can anyone tell me please if M&S are advertising the chicken as meduim? went in my local today about 30 chickens with the dine for 2 on them with the deals.. the meduim chickens were not to be seen, I asked a SA & she said only small chickens in the deal mmm bit naughty i think anyway.. i spotted them other side of the store no sticker on them so picked up put in my basket and it went through.. If i didn't have a bus to catch would have gone back to ask manager ... feel a bit sorry for all the old dears getting the deals
just bumping really want to know the answer & can't find the link to were it is on their website

I'm certain the menu on the M&S website said "medium" because I felt pretty disappointed when I read it. I'd been getting the large chickens at £9+ in previous deals. Anyway, was in today and they were just putting a new batch of medium, stickered chickens out so I fought my way through the pensioners (by gum they can stampede a bargain when they see one!) and got two decent sized ones at £8.80 and £8.65. There were chickens as small as £4.50 in the trays though. Medium seems to cover a pretty wide range.

No chocs around this time, bah. I might go up on Sunday morning and have a bash at getting a Large chicken if it's quiet and they have chocs. I can look as confused as the next woman if the till beeps, and the Large chickens were definately in the offer last time chicks were part of the deal.

I got 3 deals today.. only a medium chicken in one of them, the largest I could find at 7.50. I spoke to a manager who was filling up the chillers and asked him about chocclates.. he came back with a box of swiss choccies and said these were the one that would got through - I think they are nornmally £7. Thats another present sorted.

ps - an extra large oakham chicken would not go through on the deal, I had to go back and change it for a medium one.

I don't know what is advertised, but the large goes through on the offer. Only problem is finding them
As many have posted above, the small and medium have the "dine for £10" sticker on, and are put on the end displays, but check out the 'normal' fridge section and try and find a large.
SA did a double take when she picked up my 'large' bird, but credit to her, although she clearly thought it wasn't included, she tried it first before she said anything to me.
    It scanned no problems

I went back and got the pork last night - which was ideal for a quick meal, but certainly not as good value, or filling as the chicken.

EXTRA Large has never gone through and allowed the £10 deal to work as it should, but LARGE is still definitely working with this offer this time round - well it was yesterday (Thursday). I got a 2.180 kg at £9.57

As far as I am aware this was just 90g (and about 39p) short of where it would be classed as an EXTRA Large (2.27kg / £9.96) instead

LOL I wondered.. there weren't any large ones though.. so I thought I'd take a shot at it anyway. Happy with what I got in the end, especially the choccies.. saved £21.70 over the 3 deals.
