I've been going through complete trauma trying to get my 'puter to do what I want it to - it was a stopzilla pop up blocker in the end... orrible.
Nettles! Yes - there was a bloke I was engaged to in my twenties whose mother fed her kids on nettles during the war (he was the very youngest, and still a good bit older than me, I'm not *that* old!) anyway..... her husband was a conscientious objector, worked for the Fire Brigade, but she still didn't get the same rations as others... so her kids, 3 under 5 years of age, had nettles for their greens for years.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I hadn't realised that, that is apalling, he was still supporting his country by being in the fire service. Graded rations? I'm truly shocked.:eek:0 -

I made nettle soup back in the early eighties. The kids in the street thought I was a witch. :rotfl: It would have been better if I owned a liquidiser....:o0 -
